MOSAIC CROCHET & INTARSIA

Finally I'm back with a new video! Here I show you guys how to work the Intarsia and Mosaic Crochet together. Mixing it up a bit to get those fun extra color splashes. I use this technique in one of my newest design, the GLERBROT pattern, so this video is espeacially aimed as extra support when working that pattern. You can however use this same techique to add extra colors to any kind of mosaic crochet patterns.

Now, I know this video here is a little bit different from what you are used to from me, in video quality that is. The reason is that I am now for the first time doing the videos all on my own (read that last bit with a Mr. Bean type of proud voice mind you!!! haha) ... and so I'm not quite fluid in the editing and filming YET. But I'm sure I'll get there and in the meantime I find it's more important to do a video and teach something new and say hi to you all, rather than wait and try to do it all perfectly. Hope you guys agree with me on that.

I have to thank you! I came across your videos late in the winter, so I watched them all, and got yarn scraps to work on to learn the process. I loved it! So I started stocking up on all colors of the same weight to get my stash ready for a whole blanket. I had so many different weights and patterned yarns! Well I saw a hat I just loved, that was a mosaic pattern. I had never made a hat, so I was afraid to start one, but I wanted to do this mosaic, even though it was an intermediate level pattern. I jumped in, and it was so much fun! And it was easy! It turned out beautiful!!! All thanks to you! And no, I have not made my blanket yet, but my stash is growing!❤❤❤❤❤

I love how you use each color seperately. I don't like the mosaics where they use one multicolored thread and they have to control how lose or tight they crochet. You make your own rules

welcome back! so am i the only one that when i count 175 chain, it dosnt add up to the 5 repeats of the first pattern? my husband helped me try to figure it out, and it still dosnt add up to 175 when reading the pattern, so i glued 5 repeats together, still coming out wrong, what am i doing wrong? or is the pattern off by i think it was 3 stitches.
