When we were in Los Cris last New Year Steve we always commented on the decorations just at the side of the streets etc and how they remained intact.Sorry to say in the UK that the neds would have ruined them no civic pride left in the UK.The sleds reminded me of Madeira and careering down the hills in the wicker sleds

Definitly visit it! Its easy to go with bus from Puerto and even though its not a big park its beautiful with loads of plants and butterflies. It was one of my favorite places along with the botanical garden in Puerto!
