Greetings from Australia and from a 2005 fiesta lx 1.6 duratec owner. I love my little fiesta, it’s moon dust silver just like yours! It’s done about 214,000 miles, (344450kms) I’ve owned the car for 5 years and done over 62,000 miles (100,000kms). It’s such a great little car which I love! Drives like a little go cart! I watched your recent video about replacing the handbrake cable and am thinking of giving it a try myself! The only thing is finding the time so I may just have to take it to my mechanic and have him do it. Love your videos and love to see you enjoying and caring for your car! Just as you said, you’ll fall in love, I fell in love with my fiesta! It’s got such personality and it’s like my best friend! I hope to never part with my car.

they are so reliable if you care for them, they seem to pass a point where everything has been changed that needs changing and they go on forever after that

Love this mate, finally someone who appreciates the mk6 tdci as I do, mines clocked 134k just a baby still, bought it on 100k. Just a quick one, is yours mapped or standard? Also on standard injectors. Best car I’ve owned is my 1.6tdci. I’ve had thoughts of getting another car but can’t find a reason too, they look good/drive good, have great handling abilities (just put mine on coils/polybushed etc) I was thinking of keeping my 297 injectors and 1544 turbo on it, BUT because I love the car so much debating taking it off and getting it flashed back to a factory map as I truly do want it to last. As you say people always ask, why do you still drive that car , it’s old, slow and cheap. I just say, go out and drive one and come back to me. 9 times out of 10 they want one.

Congrats Bud. I have exactly the same car, 2006 Mark 6 1.6 TDCI...Ive named mine the Blue Bitch because at 2000 rpm she turns into a bitch...😂 She is sitting at 340000km now and I love that car to bits. Always tell my wife, the day I die, you shrink that car down and place her in my coffin..😂 Recently replaced glow plugs and Ive noticed the anti rollbar bushes are gonna need replacement soon.. other than that, what an amazing car!!! Long may yours be your daily ride ...be safe..
