@SALVAGE FLIPPERS, another great video. I really enjoyed it. Lovely clean car. A rare find with that low mileage too. There is something magical about an engine bursting back into life after being stood for a long time. I still get the excitement from that same as I did years ago. One of my favourite times was buying a Mercedes 500SEL non-runner from the scrapyard where I worked for £500 as a non-runner. My friend and I poured a jerry can of fuel into the tank, and put a jump pack on the battery. The excitement grew as it turned over but wouldn't run. So I got him to crank it over on the starter as I lay under it hitting the side of the fuel pump with a hammer. It then burst into life running once the fuel pumped unseized. We hugged each other elated shouting; yes mate! Then took it for the first drive feeling euphoric. I really enjoy your videos as they give me memories of 20 years ago, when I was motor trading, and fixing up salvage cars. I respect people like yourself that have the balls to take the gamble, and make a living from it. Making profit from salvage cars can be the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. It's great you are documenting all your good work like this. I only have the memories of doing it 20 years ago. It will be nice for you to look back in 20 years and remember the excitement of getting a non-runner going again etc. Credit where credit is due, I really like your content and presentation style. I bought one of these brand new in 1991 from an RS dealer in Boston,Lincs - Part Ex with an XR2. Kept it for about 8 years when I had to sell it and buy a sensible family car for my new born son. RS Turbo to a 1.8 Peugeot 406 - was the day a part of me died. I loved that car.

I had a black Fiesta RS Turbo looked just the same, used to wash and wax it all day every Sunday ... nice to see one again. I changed the steering wheel and still have the original steering wheel in my loft as a bit of memorabilia : ) Looking forward to seeing this looking back to factory fresh again.

Wow so jealous, we bought an red 93 XR2i back in 2004 with the 1.8 Zetec engine. Drove nearly 300 miles to get it but was worth and loved every minute of it. 3 years later someone drove into the side of it and the car was a total right off. If it wasn't for that i think I would still have it now. Miss it to this day and i still keep an eye out for another or maybe an RS1800. Great cars and a great find. Eager to see how this turns out 👍

I bought an RS1800i in 1997 £10k second hand in mallard green. We only had it a month because of the seat material 😒 velour and nylon mix. Cracking find that, can't wait till its fully restored, if only i new that these and every RS badged carsfrom that time would be so expensive now, i would of brought 2 of every thing including a few cossies. Back then car dealers could not give them away due to the high insurance premiums.

Nearly bought one of these in early ‘90’s, it was a toss up between this and a 205 GTI 1.9. In end I plumped for the Peugeot as I was more confident of it not being robbed and torched, for some reason the Peugeot’s were not as attractive to the thieves as the Fords and Vauxhall’s were. Great find though, there can’t be many of these left in one piece now - excellent video, looking forward to seeing the next one 👍

Rrenv Rrenv I’ve regretted selling that 205 1.9 every day since, the best car I’ve ever owned bar none. I traded it in for a 1.6 Cavalier 🤢 as I needed more space for a family. I had that Cavalier for six months before I swapped it for a 5-door 309 GTI. Same engine as 205 so I was well happy

I used to have one of these that I bought brand new from Ford in uxbridge UK. I went for the red colour. Sadly J 46 KLY was stolen and I never saw it again. End of story, nice to see this one you have picked up, compared to what we can get now for the money the RS Turbo was very primitive .

Has many and rebuilt many both Fiesta and Escort Turbos. That is the cleanest by far. The only hidden place to look is the seams behind the rear bumpers. They crack and rot outside. The trick is clear silicone as you cannot see them and it does the trick. Wheel bearings take a hammering and the flexi pipe always brakes. Same on mk2 escort turbo. 132 beautiful horses....
