Happy new year! I have future plans to put an st170 engine into an escort van. Have no problems with putting the engine in but not the best with wiring. Was wondering how you get around all the fault codes that might get thrown up when putting in a stand alone ecu, we know everything’s ok because the aftermarket ecu is dealing with it but when it comes to mot them fault lights might be a problem. How do you deal with that? Sorry Im new to aftermarket wiring and trying to learn a bit before committing to it.

If you're putting in an aftermarket ecu, the aftermarket ecu would not be sending a signal to turn the lights on.

The MaxxECU mini is a universal standalone ECU which works on pretty much every 4 cylinder vehicle.

Can this be run in a piggyback mode to control fueling? I have a piggyback now but want to take fueling away from the stock ECU completely as it tries to constantly trim fuel.
