Fiesta ST vs Abarth 500, which one should I keep?

Keep the Abarth. Such a capable and underrated vehicle. Quick, quirky and rapid. Also we know your long going love for the Abarth. So the ST should go. It’s an awesome car but I would keep the Abarth anyday. And now it has the amazing interior updates. It makes the Fiesta look really old inside now ahahah

I have always been like the moment they are all fixed up I get bored and want a new challenge I have voted and picked the right one according to the vote . Keep the fiat the fiesta is old hat and nearly everyone on the road is owned by a 19 year old .The fiats got rarity going for it and it’s probably faster then the st which isn’t anything special

why not test the st against the 180 competizione, with performance pack? Bit more of a match up in every way, and still sound loads better. I've had both, Abarth wins out.

In the car trade everything is for sale advertise both at a good profit. However you are more set on the abarth so you should do what makes you happy. Personally when I was at it full time I drove the cars I had in the process of fixing and selling so really do not need to keep as such a car as always have something to drive. Keep selling and getting profit and moving forwards. I did vote but base on what you like really it was clear in the video and you got to have things that make you smile and happy.

I have no idea what you decided to do...... I have always been a VW guy, last car was a MK5 GTI, lowered, induction kit, remap milltek etc..... I have traded that in recently for what I never thought I would do... a Focus ST MK3! Its decat, cobra exhaust, induction kit and remapped so on about 280BHP ( my GTI was at 240) My partner owns an Abarth 135, standard wexecpt for a bluespark tuning box so its around 170 - 180 BHP... lovely to drive although basic, with m enow owning an ST rather than a German car and having driven the Abarth I would suggest getting rid of the ST and having a good play with the Abarth :)

Abarth all the way, not because its better, but you dont see as many on the roads, ST's are usually Boy racers first choice so have a huge stigma, as a chavs car, plus there all over the place 😅 lol, I got the Abarth after much self debate on the fiesta St line eco boost, but there not all that unique, plus the abarth has some charm and you feel it every time you drive it, problems just melt away. 🙃

Get rid of the abath not spacious uncomfortable keep the Ford you have the reliability put the stock exhaust back on and put a little higher and softish on it and the fiesta is more spacious and comfortable and put the stage 1 tune on and put the newer steering wheel on and out of the 2 the fiesta is way better you get the reliability compared to the Italian reliability and plus the abaths exhaust sounds like a fart box

If I were you I would sell fiesta, finish garage project and then sell abarth, ooor advertise both cars and sell whichever get sold first as you said categorised cars sell longer, so this might help you a bit.

Me I’m a Ford man being i work for them and you would expect me to be biased but.... the fiesta is as common as muck whereas the Abarth is a bit of a special edition car so personally i would say keep the Abarth and sell the fiesta. That Fiesta will make a boy racer very happy. No disrespect but and older guy in a boy racer car isn’t a good image. Keep up the good work and have a nice Christmas 👍🏾

The Fiat is a fun little car, but the build quality is not comparable to the Ford, that said I’d change the exhaust, or have a resonator fitted into the existing exhaust, it won’t make any difference to the power

My brother has a 2012 Abarth 500C, he`s a driving instructor. It had done 240,000 miles & only suffered 1 breakdown (thermostat capillary pipe clip breaking, letting all the water out) which I fixed at the roadside. Its had a starter motor & 2 alternators, & a couple of sensors go, but none of them stopped the car, they all gave him warning & gave him days to find replacements. The heads never been off, its never leaked any oil, & there's still zero play in the turbo shaft (swapped the cat to a sports cat at about 190,000 miles, the old cat was like new inside, as was the turbo, with no oil contamination), The only reason he's stopped using it is because the insurance wrote it off after a light rear ender (they valued it low due to the mileage). He had it back from them & Its now sitting on his drive waiting for me to repair it. He`s now using his 1.2 500C `by Diesel` backup car to teach in. I even got one recently, a 2012 Twinair Gucci, & I get what your saying about the driving position, they do feel like your riding "on" them rather than being "in" them & that does detract from the driving experience slightly, especially compared to my old Fiat Uno`s & Seicento`s, which feel like go carts, but the 500 IS still fun & has a lot of character! It's hard to drive any Fiat without smiling! I`d keep the Fiat, but I`m obviously biased!

I think you've answered your own question. Power isn't everything. The 500 you can build the way you want it with the parts you want. It's a blank canvas. The St is already done. Keep the 500 and make it yours they way you want.

If I had to make the decision it would come down to whichever one would bring in the most money that's how I would do it more wonga = more project's or a step closer to the R8. Both very capable and good looking car's I guess for you it's a hard decision. But if I had to pick one I'd keep the abarth.

I think different age groups will choose one over the other. The Ford is more of a young uns motor,unless you sorted the suspension and exhaust to your liking. The abarth is different and quirky . I do not see as many abarth's and I think you like the fiat more,as you fitted the new android system and digital clocks. Keep the fiesta if do the changes,if not stick with the abarth

Tough choice I have a fiesta st and love it. But I can see that the fiat is a great car as well I am a 51 year old so I am a old school boy racer then as I love how harsh the ride is and the noise the car makes. I would keep the fiesta as you have more boot space. But what you choose you can’t go wrong.

The fiesta will work perfectly fine with any 2.75" and above exhaust with any variation of boxes/resonators, you could just buy a backbox and swap it out

Keep the Abarth. The fiesta has run its course. You fixed it as you set out to do and its had its day. The Abarth will give us more content but to be honest I would rather see you get into fixing another one from scratch
