Oh man. Such a classic. Even the brilliant animation held up on its own, but the coloring of the landscape backgrounds were so phenomenal when enjoying them for their artistic value. The rough yellow/red surface, shifting over into a complimentary blue in the shades, dimly reflecting the color of the sky. Little detail in the choreography, like when Tiger fetches the bone and turns to Wylie, the camera being out of focus for a brief seconds. All these little things brought together to make one big unforgettable film. Studios just don't do this kind of stuff anymore... just throw a script into a 3D vomit-box and out comes productions that confuses actual effort and talent, with bright colors and overly glossy textures to confusing their audiences, like dangling a bunch of shiny keys in front of them, throwing in needless toilet humor and adult jokes that aren't even clever and because it isn't hard to play with virtual dolls; a billion sequels. (...sorry, just venting frustration)_

You've summed up my feelings about most CGI films. There's magic and character in hand-drawn animation that 3D films can never replicate. One scene in Bambi or most early Disney films have a greater emotional impact on me than the entire Pixar franchise. I don't doubt that 3D animations aren't worked hard on, but knowing a hundred drawings are coming to life is far more special than click, drag, click.

Daniel Renard I’m positive there’s some 3D animated films have just as much effort in them as back when the kind of classics like these were made. There’s the ones that you described though too, i’ve definitely seen quite a few movies like that. Then there’s the films that have so much heart and dedication in them, the storyboarding, coming up with ideas for an impactful story, the big and small details inscribed into the characters to bring them to life, the highly detailed backgrounds for the characters to interact with, and even more (I could describe, so, SO much more if you like). These are the ones with talent and effort, and it takes real skill and time to make a film like I described right. So I understand and agree with your point, some 3D movies just don’t put the effort in like they should. But I just wanted to make sure you knew about the ones that really do have the same effort and talent of a great classic. Thank you for listening, and good day.

I remember pissing myself as a kid watching "The Lazy Eye!", shit is so fucking funny! Also, I think this fils is WAY more family friendly compared to the depression fest of the first film. Watching the first movie is a great idea but doesn't instill terror like some other kid films like like Secret of NIMH and The Witches. Granted they serve their purpose and should still be watched along with this film's progenitor: "An American Tale", a very spooky and heartfelt tale of moving to America. But hey, moving to America these days hasn't exactly been welcoming as of late. Be safe everyone out there, Corona or otherwise...
