Aside from it only having 6 leagues, I hated how fat the player models looked and how baggy their shorts looked. Before 07, EA also made 06 Road to World Cup and 06 World Cup for the 360 which are just as rushed but worse than 07.

technically, fifa 06 road to the fifa World Cup was the first fifa game that was launched for the 360 and not fifa 07. I remember rinsing it to death when the new gen console was released.

The 360 launched in 2005 mate, with FIFA 06 Road to the World Cup being that showcase game. It was then followed by the 2006 World Cup game and THEN FIFA 07

Yeah seemed to be a theme with a lot of these sports Games coming out when the 360/ps3 first landed. The only game that actually thrived off the next version was Smackdown vs Raw 2007 which is a phenomenal game, and looks stunning on xbox 360 even till this day

FIFA World Cup 2006 was more feature complete on xbox 360 compared to this shit. Even the rushed out "Road To World Cup 2006" was more enjoyable than this game. I am surprised EA ditched all the cutscene cinematics from RTWC and WC 06 or even the cutscenes from ps2 fifa 07 onwards games with these super short repetitive cutscenes on FIFA 07-10 on x360 and ps3. Completely ruined the presentation because there was barely anything to watch. The graphics took a huge downgrade after rtwc 06 as well. Also starting with fifa 09, the 3d grass was basically gone- something even the og xbox fifa games had. No idea who were in charge of the visuals but they really did a half baked job. And the faces in FIFA 07-08, especially 07.. They all look like they are on weed and all the faces look like a downgrade compared to rtwc 06. As for gameplay, they should have just used the AI from ps2/xbox/pc fifa 07. The AI was much better there. Also having no skill move, pace controls and other basic controls was not acceptable in any way. However, for all it's faults, the overall visual of FIFA 07 has it's own charm. The color palette and the way things are lit does look cinematic. Depth of field and 3D grass was still dense here and looked beautiful. This game almost looked like it tried to mimic the color grading of that football movie "Goal" or whatever it was called. It's a shame that they did not include the cutscenes to complement these visuals. So you don't get to enjoy these visuals anyway since cutscenes are nonexistent.
