I'm theory high pressure should leave space to play into. But the interception animations are far quicker, superior than the trap, turn and run animations. By the time I've played it out the opponent has run the 20-30yards at 100mph with no stamina drop and is back on my case. The game is fundamentally broken on the pitch.

4:25 Holding L2 is only half the task. You must also aim the left stick directly away from the opponent or he'll dispossess you. Thats critical and you should have mentioned it.

Put you defense on drop back and reduce their width and play out calmly from the back with fast build up offense. High pressure opponent's defense is in shambles when under attack.

No ones talked about it or maybe he has but R1/RB sometimes does shit for you depending on the skill level your player has (body faints specially). It’s helped me shake off a high pressure double team but it’s all up to the player you’re using.

What do u think about 5-2-1-2 vs such players ? You can get the ball wide and then cut inside the gap left due to high pressure cause ur midfield will have more options .. or you can pass it to a CM and move out fast from there .. not to forget ur two strikers if they are fast will cause problems .

When I play with someone who applies high pressure I guarantee to win 95%. I just change the formation to 4-2-2-2 this way you will create huge gaps to free from high pressure.

The last Fifa I played was Fifa 16. I was a decent player. I've won a lot of games then. Now playing Fifa 19 I lose almost every game. Its like every game I play with 9 players in the field... Rico Cobana Fifa 19 is much different than Fifa 16. You need to find players with decent passing, pace, and physical. A good formation to use is the 4-3-3 with CDM and tactic of offense- possession and for defense- high pressure after bad touch

EA should find a gameplay that works and stick with it. The only thing required is updating the game annually. Fifa17 and 18 were very good, with realistic gameplay. This issue of buying a new game every year and it turns out to Be a complete disappointment should stop.

Ovie, thank you for the video. I have some really good players, yet I'm getting pummeled when my opponent plays high pressure, and puts the option to shut off my players online in game. I can't even get a shot off. It's really taking the fun out of FIFA... for me. I feel all I can do is try to get better by playing and deal with it. It's brutal. In SB I can win on Legendary, but I feel it takes little skill to win online with the constant pressure.

It only works if there is a player around your player. You hit LT, and he should shield the ball from whoever is behind him. If your hold LT and move backwards, it should push the defender back a bit

Constant pressure should be removed or nerfed by ea. My player become very slow and stupid when being pressured and their player become so op in defensive and attacking. Noobs who apply this tactic from the beginning of the game will think theyre good. In fut, it is impossible to beat an opp who have a beast team playing contant pressure.
