The Canadian announcers are the same people we have commentate every game. They've seen it all, and they don't react to much. This is the most excited I've ever heard them. The French guys didn't commentate on hockey as often, I think, so they reacted more strongly.

I think because you weren't allowed professionals at the Olympics but the Soviets found a way around that and dominated for years, finally playing professionals for Canada and winning showed Canada was the better country. The Cold War tensions made it that much better to win.

funny seeing the BBC one because Brits typically dont care about hockey. hell most don't even know what it is, I wore an NHL jersey in london once and people were giving me funny looks, one guy thought it was a football "as in American NFL" shirt
@pascalfilfe7755
@pascalfilfe7755 10 жыл бұрын
If you tell them NHL, they don't really know what it's about, but if you tell them it's hockey they'll understand. In all, if you want very real hockey in the UK, go to Scotland, they love it ever there. Unfortunately, do to budget cuts in Scotland by the British, they don't have an official hockey team, but many high schools and colleges (universities) have them, sadly no professional ones.

I love the French Telecast best...I think it's Roch Voisine who goes nuts...love him for that. The girl at 1:48 of this video I love as well. No one but Canadians can understand the pressure these guys face when the red Maple Leaf is on their sweater...I don't think any team in all of sports has to play with as much pressure as the Men's Canadian Olympic Hockey team...Brazilian Soccer and American Basketball teams are not anywhere close to the expectations put upon Canada's Hockey team

Austin Camarena but i am Canadian and i dont like Crosby I think he whiner and crier. He is a big baby to me. If you want to see a real hockey player look at Bergeron. Bergeron is one of the best defensive forwards ever plus he is not whiner and crier. Bergeron is tough he played through a broken rib, cartilage damage and more in the 2013 Stanley cup playoffs. I know Crosby is the "Poster Boy" for the NHL but he is bad for the game. When little kids see him on the ice whinny and crying, kids will follow that and its bad for the future of the game.

Canada is the best country in the world at hockey. No matter how hard the americans try, they will always fall short. No matter how much the americans try to make it their game, that will never ever happen. We repeated as Champions in Sochi for both men and women. I was just as happy to see the americans lose to Finland 5-0 in the bronze medal game. I'm proud to say that I've witnessed some of the greatest moments in Olympic Hockey history. From Crosby's Golden Goal to Marie Phillipe Poulin's Golden Goal in Sochi, we own hockey, and nothing is going to take that away from us. #CanadaFTW

I think the french commentator is Michel Bergeron from RDS , the equivalent of TSN but for the people in Québec . He was just announcing on french TV that day and he is saying ''SIDNEY CROSBY ..SIDNEY CROSBY SCORES...SIDNEY CROSBY SCORES...I KNEW IT!...HA! HA! HA! HA! ... HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!...WHAT A GOAL! WHAT A GOAL!...I AM TEARING UP GENTLEMEN...I'T EXTRAORDINARY''

Why are people so hateful to the USA? Remember fellow Canadians the Americans are the only other country to play hockey like us. If the Americans didn't give a fuck about hockey our way of playing the game would fizzle out into the pansy European style. Preserve the game the way it should be played and the Americans respect that. If Canada can't win I'd rather the USA over Sweden, Czechs etc. Canada's bitter rival is Russia after all!

Here we go again, some guy who pretends he knows hockey comes along trying to say that he knows this and he knows that when he doesn't. Maybe if you actually watched the games, you'd knowo Luongo has been great in the playoffs. In '11, he played fine. His stats may not show, but everyone agrees, even some Kings, that he was tough to play against. In 2011, he did great. Sure he had a bad finals, but what do you expect when 9 players on the Canucks were injured. They still made it to Game 7 to.

i actually know a lot more about hockey then you do, im in sports management for hockey, and come from a hockey backround. the reason he's being traded is because he's getting payed far too much for someone who cant stay composed in the playoffs, all the ability and stats put aside, if you cant get you're head straight come playoff time, you're just not ready to be playing in a big city getting payed 7 mil. he will go to florida, they wont make the playoffs though and people will doubt him again

@bsstyle123 12 жыл бұрын
he plays on vancouver a team not known to give up too many chances, and goaltending goes way past having nice stats, you're by yourself between those pipes its a very mental position and luongo really just cant hold up anymore, that's what the media the hype, the expectations can do to someone and some people can handle it and other's cant that's why luongo is looked to be traded as soon as possible. all credibility to his talent and ability but he just cant mentally do it anymore

He isn't yet. His stats, his play, they aren't elite. He'll be there soon though. In his 1st season, MTL finished 1st. Not crappy. Next 2 years, 8th. After that, 6th. Last year, MTL were hit by injuries, so they finished last. So not a bad team. In the playoffs, he once made it round 2. Once he got their, he got lit up by Philly. Next year, struggled against BOS. The next year, he struggled and got replaced by Halak, who led them to the Conf. Finals. 2011, he was much better and had a great

It is silly, lol. I'm pretty sure it's just 1 scout who ranks these guys in NHL 13. And I'm not saying Price is bad. He's just not an elite goalie yet. He just hasn't done enough like Luongo or Price to prove he deserves the #1 or #2 spot. Luongo and Fleury are both elite goaltenders. If Price can get there in 2014, we'll have 1-2-3 like we did in '10. And we need 3 good goalies, considering the US have 4-5 (Thomas, Quick, Schneider, Miller, Howard). And you should be happy the game went to OT.

Price isn't elite yet. He is a franchise goaltender though and he has big upside. He's just not there yet. Luongo is an excellent goaltender. Fleury is also elite, but inconsistent. Ward is another top, clutch goalie. And yes, the others are dark horses. Smith and Crawford are talented but inconsistent. Elliot is just inconsistent. Dubnyk and Reimer are talented, Reimer is still a few years away. Holtby and Dubnyk have some upside, but won't be much. Top 5: Luongo, Fleury, Price, Ward, Reimer

Luongo will have 400 wins by the time he's done. The guy was a Vezina candidate with Florida of all teams. It should be Fleury, Luongo, Price. Fleury and Luongo both dominate during the season and both have made the Finals. Price has yet to make it past the 2nd round as a starter. He hasn't even had a good regular season yet. All considerations for goalie: Fleury, Luongo, Price, Ward, M.Smith, Dubnyk, Holtby, Reimer, Crawford and Elliot

"IGG!" That will probably be the defining moment of my Hockey Fan life. Crosby's yell for Iggy to pass the puck (to me) for whatever reason, more defining then the goal itself... When I talk about the Golden Goal to my kids and grand kids, it will always be about that call for the pass! "IGG!" and then because its his most under rated facet of his game, Iggy, makes a pinpoint pass to Crosby for the goal. Until the Flyers win the Stanley Cup, this is definatley the biggest hockeymoment to me

@gadeela LMFAO. What Does Stamkos, Malkin and Datsyuk have to do with Crosby being out hurt? Can't even argue with you, you obviously don't know hockey and I guess the hockey analysts are wrong to, you know the guys who get paid for a living to talk hockey? I guess NHL players and GM's are wrong also. Crosby is the best in the world and this is coming from a guy who doesn't like Crosby.
