As an argentinian this match was brutal. So many emotions. When Martinez saved that last ball my heart skipped a couple of beats and then the penalties... I celebrated like a maniac and then I just had to take like a 20 minute break before going out to celebrate on the street because the stress of the match was so much I was completely burnt out.

It is hard being from Argentina to tell if it was the best or not. We were 2 up with 15 mins left and suddenly tied, then scored again in extra time, and again tied....and that last play that saved Martinez would have meant to loose the game. I think that is what made it epic. Argentina had to win the game three times to become the champion and was one foot (Martinez`) away from loosing it. That and the penalty saved makes him the most important player that made the real difference

@@opfer88 My man, the Super Bowl is only watched in the US, and the Super Bowl happens every year. It basically means a team has a chance to win every year. I am going to go out on a limb here and say you know about Messi, but just in case, this guy is the GOAT of football (soccer for you) of this generation, if not ever. So, imagine finally winning after participating in 5 World Cups, which, mind you, was an exhilarating game; it does qualify for the best Finals ever in any sport, period! Ahh, and yeah, the Super Bowl final you mentioned was not bad either, but at some point, it was a one-way game...first, the Falcons led and later the Patriots made a comeback. And yes, it was a great final and probably one of the best in the Super Bowl, but I am sorry to burst your bubble; the Super Bowl is an American sport and not a global sport

When Edelman caught the ball of the game, it was umbelievable. Winning because of penaltys is lame, they should do a golden goal. Most stressful game I've ever watched as a massive Messi fan. When France got their second, I thought it was bound to be a bottlejob. Then when Kolo Muani had that 1v1 in the 123rd minute my heart literally sank. Emi Martinez saved all of us Messi fans that day. I saw 10 world cups in my life and no this is not the top world cup , one of the greatest but there are 2-3 world Cup finals played in other ways and the two teams reach the finals without nobody thinking it was corrupted. Here the final 2022 was great but seeing Argentina reaching the finals the way they did nope ! Not so welcome . Other teams did much better than that and it's not because is MESSI ...wrong thinking if some people see's that way ! Last 2 world cups of Argentina wasn't clean 😎🤷
