I have no problems operating two Fifish Evolutions with the tether systems. It helps however to pay out the tethers before deployment in long loops that will then automaticly feed the cable as the Fifish progresses. The Evolution is a world class ROV and takes time to become an expert operator and for that reason I remind you to practice which will bring the perfection that this ROV can provide. I can't compare this ROV to any DJI product even though I have a DJI air 2 - but I can say like all products ... ongoing development will always improve on things and as it stands the Evolution is the worlds best choice for everyone wanting to make underwater footage and super fun to play with as well as a serious ROV for commercial work. Its really the best to buy.

Hey i just got my V Evo and im wondering , is it normal that it constantly is drifting/driving a little bit on its own? (No its not current pulling , it does it in the pool aswell + you can see the motors thrust without pressing anything) . Isnt it supposed to hold its position when not touching the sticks ? Its really hard to try to grab something if you have to fight against the thrust its doing by itself and therefore changing the position constantly. Maybe something isnt setup correctly?

Try the recallibration process , and try position lock.

@benmallahsstockbroker3752 I already got a new one and also was chatting with the support. They told me there is a problem with the balancing when nose down, they are working on firmware update + also what I noticed when comparing them side by side (had both for some days) , the old one had a little bit different designed claw, better said the balance tanks of it, they where further apart and smaller , the one I got in exchange has bigger balance tanks and they are closer together , they provide much more boyance. It is clearly visible when locking the motors , the old one sinks "balanced" it just goes down, the new one sinks with nose upwards as it floats up that much. But the problem is really really small now, it's pretty much gone, if they roll out a good firmware update for this aswell it should be gone 😁👌. So good work qysea!

I respectfully disagree. Ive owned every phantom series from the beginning as well as Mavic pro and Mavic 2 Pro, I also own the Fifish V6S and Expert. Going to buy the EVO soon. The statement about the aoftware in comparison to DJI i think is a bit off. Having experience with DJI Im pretty impressed with QYSea UI. Can it be better? Yes. But its not the same as the phantom 3. My issues are , no expo control on verticle angle. And SD card management needs work. But thats it. I can dial in the camera just fine. Yaw , rotation, X and Y axis control are great. Live feed works perfect. In fact. I usually do 2 live feeds at the same time from bith ROVs. DJI cant even get its live streaming to you tube to work consistently. These are my opinions. So take em with a grain of salt . Lol

yeah, I’m pretty sure. DJI doesn’t even want to get live streaming working correctly, for many many reasons 😂 Let’s put it this way, as a content creator, I want the time to operate to be as small as possible. FiFish vevo is about solid 5mins, at least 20 steps. DJI drones, at most 1min, about 5 steps.

Not a starter drone, but still a very good underwater drone. it’s where DJI was 5-10 yrs ago. The setup has too many parts and the drone is very hard to store for travel. I will go on more trips in the future

@mtai offshore recovery I have a Fifish v6 expert, and right now, it's on repair. The drone has a black screen, so I have no image. I was thinking of buying this one, but I wanted to know how does it performs in the water and whether it does like the company says it does.

yes, it does. it dives and it shows. I have no experience with the expert series. so far it has been working alright and build seems solid.
