‪@MFEGoingDeep‬ since I’m often asked what kind of Underwater Drone I use on the channel for the videos I make I felt it was time to step in front of the camera, not only to introduce myself formally but also to show everyone exactly what it is that I use and a little bit about it. For anyone that’s researching or interested in potentially investing in a Drone and wanted to see something beyond a picture posted on Amazon or some other website this is the video for you! I go through the very basic set up and start up of the Drone with a little bit of footage in the water, the idea being to give someone a better idea of what it’s all about and how it generally works and what the process is without an overwhelming amount of information to process all at once.
I’m hopeful this video will help give a better idea and answer to any current and future subscribers what it is that I do and use!

Just discovered your channel, and Subscribed. I bought a Fifish Evo last summer and got the chance to use it a little looking for some underwater treasures. I was amazed at how little it bothered the fish. Lots of fun and I can't wait to get it back in the water this spring

How long does the battery last??. How many M.A. is the battery??

It has a 14400 mAh battery, it really depends on what you’re doing with it. I find that water temps don’t really affect it as I’ve used it a lot under the ice just the amount of activity. If you’re not traveling a lot and you’re in fairly shallow water so you’re not using the lights I can probably get 2 hours out of it on one charge, maybe more. If you’re using the hook so it has more weight to tow around and down in deeper water using the lights and searching around a lot I’d probably get a little over and hour.

Thanks for the nice video! I have a question: My Eco v6 Expert only records 4k30 in 3 minute chunks, but not as one large file. Is that normal? I am on latest firmware and am using the Lexar 128 GB SDCard that came with the rov preinstalled.

Yes that is how mine is as well. I’m not exactly sure why it’s setup like that but I’m guessing it’s so you can import desired sections only of your dive that you want, for example you recorded for an hour and you didn’t see much of anything but a minute or 2 in the middle or the end, well instead of having to download one huge file for just a couple minutes that you want you can isolate that in a smaller chunk based on when it happened if that makes sense.

@@MFEGoingDeep Hi, glad to hear that its not mine that does that :) it would be cool if Qysea could make it an option and not the only way since I dont want to have to patch together 20+ files at the end :) thanks for the quick response! I will also test for 1080p if it's the same behavior since I have seen some KZbin videos that had 1080p resolution running for longer than the 3 minute. In that case, it would point to a buffering or processing limitation and not a purpose build function.

This video itself was made at the Lakeview Public boat launch at Schoodic Lake. I travel around to different areas though making other videos in the state.

Love your work but that is worth more than my Hyundai. I am thinking of strapping a GoPro to a carp.

Thank you! And that made me laugh! 😂 all kidding aside though I think there’s a video out there where somebody did just that with a largemouth bass in their small pond.
