EXID is so fucking iconic, it was probably the best case of career savings in kpop, and funny enough you haven't reacted to the song that blew them up yet, which was Up & Down, that had their choreos censored in music shows, leading them to release Ah Yeah joking with the fact they had nothing to be censored, spitting in their faces The MVs left with this Lineup are probably Up & Down, I Feel Good and Every Night (a SLEEPER to me, people sleep HARD on this song), there maybe 1 or 2 other MVs with a different formation that was their first lineup, didn't workout, members left, leading to their vocal coach taking a position into the Group, that being Solji, the Main Vocal

ah yeah mv is a direct statement towards the double standards in the industry! they called them out because they made them change parts of the up & down choreo but at the same music shows there were men promoting SHIRTLESS during the same promoting time. hani represents the “submissive and manipulative woman” the one the society want us to be, while le represents the “rebellious woman” the one that the society (especially men) are afraid of. and the lyrics on the other side, well you have to look at them to get the meaning! overall the whole thing is really empowering!!! i miss them soooo much

Love and love Exid very much. Starting from a small company that was on the verge of disbanding because of its failure. But how successful our girls have been. When they were in Gen2 Exid and other groups were very successful with sexy concepts. EXID's music is very unique because the title songs are all composed by LE (main rap) member who is still composing for Tribe. 4 years ago when EXID released Lady everyone said it was an outdated song, but in 2021, 2022 Kpop we have nothing, full of retro style, which EXID has done before. 5 people with 5 personalities, really for me there are only 3 girl groups that make me laugh when watching reality shows: EXID, SNSD and MAMAMOO, they are really funny and lovely. The story behind their success brought tears to the eyes. Remember when the leader of the group, main vocal Solji EXID, got sick (Night Rather than Day era) and took a break for treatment, every high note in Hyelin had to be performed by herself. I hope they come back as soon as possible even though there is no announcement but EXID will definitely come back

Its so funny because I was just thinking about how you would absolutely love Lady and Night Rather than Day. Also, I'm pretty sure Night Rather than Day IS the title track off the album! EXID has some really amazing R&B songs like Todak Todak, The Vibe, Boy and How You Doin' to name a few. Lady is one of my absolute favorite kpop songs of all time, and initially got me into EXID.

2 CAN'T MISS reactions for you Fifi is "Every Night" (also, check out Every Night version 2 after recording) and "Don't Want A Drive" (technically a b-side but there is a Re-flower version where they are shown recording it the studio), add any title track/b-side you want to those 2 😊 also b-sides are EXID's strengths so you might want to consider album first listens. Exid is so vocally talented. Solji and Hyerin are amazingly agile belters, LE's rap is so distinctive and sharp, Hani has beautiful deep and soulful voice (imo we don't hear enough of her lower register in title tracks), Jeonghwa has a sweet airy voice and is the bridge queen. If you can, I'd love to see you react to their Tipsy Live version of Hot Pink 😂 they're so drunk, and it's so funny but also they SLAY the vocals

please check out BESTie, they were the sister/rival group to EXID - (same company). EXID were going to be axed in favour of BESTie until Hani's infomous fancam injected new life into their careers and sadly it was BESTie that got axed instead. As a result there is only enough BESTie MV's for one marathon IMO but well worth a look. GREAT reaction
