The trouble with the elimination test is that some SUV's perform better at different tasks. I wonder how the BMW would perform on the slalom test for example. It may not have the biggest ultimate luggage space but it may be the more dynamic road car. I think points based tests are better than elimination tests as different people have different priorities..

Have to agree with many that you should test all the cars in all categories with a score for each rather than eliminating potentially the best car because the boot is a little smaller.

Like practically every PHEV, they are only running green on battery if they are charged from the mains. The big question is will the users of these vehicles ever charge them?

Same for me. My family owns both station wagon and SUV, and it's an easy station wagon for me. Better to drive and more spacious even with the seats up.

Get one but don't expect a long life engine 40k to 60k and the engine is burnt out just like every highly stressed engine anywhere in the world. Personally I would get a Kia EV9 and that will have a better warranty, it will last 300,000 miles and cost less. But I do understand the Volvo is good looking.

As a current owner of a porsche approved Porsche Cayenne s e hybrid - I can honestly say it’s a fantastic car , brand badge it wins hands down but Iv got to say I think the BMW is probably in my opinion the best for looks and spec vrs £ value .

In practicality I would include cost of ownership. Reliability lately is a big issues with Audi having insane problems and Volvo the same. I know it is hard for a brand new car, but maybe take into consideration the previous models for a benchmark?

Two large suitcases in the boot is hopeless. How is that enough luggage space for a family of 4/5 especially if you have older kids?

The audi performed better because the engine drives the front wheels only (massive torque steer) and the electric motor drives the rear . The audi q7 has real quattro. The bmw would have beat both of them cars

What do they do 30 miles if that electric alone, and then no better on fuel than a diesel car, or suv . Its a 5ax con for business drivers.

Braking can recharge the battery. And the fuel will be more effective used.

No, the X7 isn’t available as a Plug In Hybrid. Plus the X7 is the rival to the Mercedes GLS and the Range Rover.
