What a fantastic episode, love seeing all the early 2000s saloons being compared!

Most people never understood that MINIs are awesome little cars with racing heritage. People (at least here in North America) bought them with automatic transmissions because they thought they were "cute," and/or wrote them off as unreliable because of the Midlands and CVT transmissions in the 2002-04 cars. I'm still running a 2005 R50 (original owner) and love it more and more every year. I know I'm onto something special, like an early 911. It's fast (enough), it handles like a race car, and it's easy to work on. I've saved thousands by learning how to work on it myself. Just like early 911s were at one point, these cars will become sought-after classics because of their simplicity, power-to-weight ratio, and the joy they are to drive and own.

I'd love to know how Lizs Mini racing career went? She's definitely brave enough, not remotely scared by Tiffs terrifying driving (we've seen plenty others crapping themselves or green as passengers!) I loved that Liz was pissing herself laughing the whole time. Massive respect!
