I’m in zone 8a and I have decided to plant everything. So my fear is that these cold snaps will kill my trees. So I will be looking for this closed cell cover.

coldest temp -11 , with a consistent single digit temps for two or three weeks. Definitely had some cold nights. I did not have die back on my other tree wrapped in the closed cell blanket.

Do you ever get any excessive moisture/mold build up under the wrap?

None. It blocks the cold and prevents overheating.
