You took a beating and stayed with it!! Training with Dieselnoi has pushed your mental resilience to new levels, it’s very inspiring to watch!

I would not like to be on the receiving end of those knees. From an outsider looking in they look quick and explosive. You might be tiny but the way you are always advancing towards your opponents with no fear is impressive and makes you seem bigger in the way you dominate the ring.. Cool fight and congrats on your win.

You're such a great muay khao and great fighter overall! I like how you won even though the ref kept breaking up your clinches early. Very inspiring

Your persistance in loving things and becoming slowly better in them instead of being good in things and love them is a rolemodel for every MA training. No fights, no MA. I too, chreographed my around the competition body language a lot, because it silenced my " give up/ not your day - voices" much. I don't think on fight day, but it took me much longer to feel who I am, ragardless of the situation. Something that seems quite natural to you.
@8limbsUs4 жыл бұрын
I'm glad it looks natural, because it requires a lot of work on my part, too.

The mind set of many promoters is to have more exciting and flowing fights. Because the audience are bored with the everlasting clinching of the conventional 5 round Muay Thai. Especially, the 3 rounders, where you must produce substantial result even in the first round. This creates great disadvantage for the inside clinch knee fighters, such as Silvie. Everybody already knows that you are the muay khow. The classic remedy for muay khow is elbows. I'd love to see you lead with something before the clinch. I am always in your corner. ...... By the way, Kard Chuek material, in the old days, were blessed by the holy monk or the teacher. Many were taken from the shroud, with the believe that the spirit of the death would help them win. One pair of the hemp would be used over and over, the blood stain on them meant his opponents had shed their blood. The hemp would not be wash. So, when sweat and blood on them dried, they became hard and a punch from this natural " brass buckles" could give a nasty cut.

The breaking of the clinch, to me, makes it much more boring because it can't develop. Watching the clinch in the Golden Age in fights like Samson vs Pepsi (the 3rd one!), or Langsuan vs Lamnamoon... the clinch was exciting. The 5 seconds and then break version is like someone being interrupted in a conversation every 5 seconds. No point can be made. No poetry can be expressed. Imagine if you were only allowed to hit your opponent with 2 strikes and then the ref separated you? It would be soooo boring.
@supachaiprasertphong13754 жыл бұрын
The breaking of clinches can be contributed to 1. the policy of the promoters, 2. with the intention to give advantage to the boxer who does not like clinch- knee fighting, the referee sees that the boxers are in no position to exercute any technic. Boxers like Langsuan, Lamnuammoon, specially, Diesel- noi, were known for there clinch-knee fight. It is always exciting to watch them perform. Many more are clinching because that is what the gamblers/audience tell them to do. If they are behind on point, they would keep following their opponent with punches, wich is the worst weapon in their arsenal. It is better to lose but following instructions, than be stubbern. Because they don't want to face the 6th. round.

War gangster knee! Love to see you fight more down south and hopefully train with some legends and nice gyms there too. 2020 gonna be a huge year for you, i know it! wish ya nothing but the best sylvie. Youre an absolute legend!
@gordonaughenbaugh90044 жыл бұрын
Dieselnoi loved the knees because he was so tall, he could engage a clinch and throw knees with momentum while still being hard to hit. Sylvie, you love to knee because you're short and it lets you hold an opponent in range. Its opposite in some ways.

Some mean knees at end...damn nearly destroyed her ribs.
The refs are surprisingly good, they really protect the fighters and understand what is happening. Unlike in boxing where one fighter is already a vegetable and the ref does nothing

You can see the vimeo list here: vimeo.com/ondemand/sylviestudy ---- there are 39 hours up there. The main difference is that it follows me training every day with a single legend. There are over 30 hours of me training with Karuhat, with commentary, covering one month. And I think we have 6 straight days with Yodkhunpon. It's for a more indepth look into a single style.

I do not _even_ know wassup with refs breaking your clinch like 0.03 seconds after it gets established. I watched one of your fights last night where the same thing happened. This time you finally just sorta ran right over the ref 🤣😵💫& started bombing knees. Wasn't too long after that when you got the tko. Man I'm no Muay Thai expert, but at least I can make sense outta what I'm watching, and your clinch is _wicked!_ Like, _WICK-ett_ lol 🤣
