The only thing stopping Tom from being the best heavyweight we've ever seen is that the other 'best heavyweights' won't fight him. Ngannou wouldn't have ducked him, that would've been a true fight for HW all time greatness.

What other heavyweights? The HW division in combat sports has sucked for over two decades. Tom has no legit competition.

@@Kal-e3t Stipe is done man he's been done for half a decade. Jon is on his last legs none of these fighters give Tom the title of all time greatness. If he fought both in their prime and Francis then sure. Unfortunately for Tom's legacy he has no one like them in the wings. He's had ZERO challenge he's really good but not that good its a reflection of his average competition. Just think of the athletic HW freaks in boxing in the 90's not these slow uncoordinated elephants swinging for the fences.

I hope Tom does get a match with Jon, but true MMA fans know neither of these guys is afraid to face each other. They’re just at different stages in their careers. Jon is focused on solidifying his legacy in MMA history. As for Tom, I’m paraphrasing here, but he’s said he’s in this for a short run-to make as much money as possible and move on quickly. That’s a smart strategy if he wants to avoid the long-term wear and tear that can come with a lengthy fight career.
