@@kimberlytyrcha5930 I never disputed what happened, so that is a moot point. I'm saying that it doesn't make sense. Criminal court is where JUSTICE should truly be served. Civil court turns the pursuit of justice into a mercenary venture for this particular type of crime because money will not bring back your lost loved one. If you said that I DID NOT commit the crime then you should not be able to go across the street and charge me monetarily for the crime. That should essentially be Double Jeopardy.

I sometimes get the feeling that Goldman's emotions about this come down to his own internal struggles with siphoning off huge money off someone found innocent of killing his son, against the death of his son in horrendous circumstances. The money-grubbing that uses his son so desperately and wantonly, seems to have some kind of play upon Goldman's conscience - he feels hurt by it rather than by OJ, who like his son, is a mere tool in this neverending quest for money at all costs, even the dignity of his son's life posthumously. His son's just a tool now to make him money - the memory of him, the meaning of his life, it's been supplanted by greed and avarice, even against someone who was found innocent of killing him.
