I love that everyone's reaction to the ending follows the exact same sequence. 1. "Awwww Sena and Lanz are adorable!" 2. "Awwww Eunie and Tion are the cutest couple!" 3. "Awwww finally Noah and Mio are together!" 4. "Awwww it's Poppi!" 5. "WAIT WHAT THE HELL?!?!?!"

I like the line “It’s because it amuses me” a lot because I think it’s really meta. To me, it feels like another way of getting the player to interact directly with the plot. Z wants this endless war to go on forever because he finds entertainment in it. He gets life energy from it, sure, but Moebius have been shown to enjoy putting the people of Keves and Agnus in the endless war they fight. Similarly, we as players don’t want the game to end and we want these characters to stay together and live happy lives. But we know that this world is also holding their lives back, and that they can’t stay in it forever. As “amusing” as the war between Keves and Agnus is, it absolutely can’t go on if the characters want a brighter (albeit unknown and likely scary) future. We’re forced to accept the fact that these characters need to move on, and that line drives it further home. Xenoblade 3 is fantastic at doing this in other places as well. The player experiences the soul-crushing ending of Chapter 5 and is then immediately given the knowledge that N had gone through that so many times. It’s a great way of helping the player understand his pain without trying to justify his actions. That’s just my interpretation anyways.

I enjoy how the ending of the game proves the message they set out to say. "Everyone has abit of Moebius in them" When you see the end and everyone has to go back to their own world you simply want them to stay together, to stay in the Endless Now, our fears and anxieties about these characters we know and love never seeing one another again are brought forth... It's a strong and powerful message, that despite our love for them, it is better they go their own ways to let the world move forward for the benefits of everyone even if they feel down don't want to or have regrets

- So just remember that that little weeb Tora is responsible for designing a supercomputer that can backup and restore two entire planets. - A pretty fun detail about the fights against Crys. He's not named "Consul C" or "Moebius C" - he simply goes by "Consul Crys". A sign that he doesn't follow Z's orders to the letter. - Is Riku secretly a Nopon Sage...? - That's right, Blade polygamy is a thing. Rejoice, Nia fans! - Yes, Joran is still okay. So it's likely that other Moebius like Crys and Triton will be fine, too. They likely just won't retain any Aionios-based memories.

This scene and the scene where N and M ascend into Z are visually reminiscent of a sperm and egg, and symbolically serve similar functions for the narrative as the initial act which ends in creating new life.

Thanks for playing this! You cried at all the same spots that I did when I played through it the first time. ...And to think there's a whole Xenoblade X story they still have yet to finish! That might be another trilogy! Or just a two parter, at least a two parter. Or maybe just a remake with the rest of the story built in. Who knows. I just need to see more out of this studio. ....uh, and I mean, your reactions to it of course!

So, now that you have played the game I can finally write that..... I enjoyed it. It's a really good game. But while it is good it for me it doesn't come close to the second one or even the first one, both of which I liked way more. For example the antagonist, Z..... I find him way weaker and not nearly as interesting as Zanza or Malos. Worse: I find the fight against him actually rather boring. Also I found the characters and their individual problems all in all somewhat less dramatic than what we got before. Nevertheless, all in all the game was great. Just not quite as great as its' two predecessors. Either way I am quite curious what they will do with part 4, whenever that one gets made. Will it still be this world or a completely new one we get to see? Who knows? Well, I guess we will have to wait....... for a long, long, looooooong time....... which is unfortunate but ultimately worth it.
