@@skyeifer Chuggaconroy (did I spell that right?) is likely the best place to look for little tidbits like this. He did a Live Play of the game a while back where he literally covered everything. And I mean everything. Even outside of the trivia, its still a great series. He even did one for XBC1 and there is likely to be one for 3 in the future, likely some time after the DLC story is released.

Apparently, they had lines recorded for the post-credits scene, first off, whether you got Pyra or Mythra saying them depended on who you picked for Pneuma's name; then there's the lines themselves, two lines were recorded for each girl, one in which they say "I'm home", implying they kept their memories, in the other they say "I am [Name]", meaning they lost their memories like all other blades. Utlimately they decided to not use any and just leave it ambiguous.

Something funny is that Fiora is one of the most broken blades in the game due to her skill of increasing damage by the number of crits get gets and she has an art that can do 6 hits very quickly and recharges pretty fast too

Morag and Zeke do not introduce themselves to Shulk and Fiora because the earliest point in the story when you could have entered the portal was before they joined your party. So the devs took a short cut by just removing them from dialogue. Also the title screen theme always hits the hardest after your first completion of the game, I think, because the song is about the Aegises.

And thus, Skye met Xenoblade Chronicles 2. It seems we're at the end of this long (and emotional) journey. Xenoblade 2 is one of my favourite games of all time. The story, characters, gameplay, presentation are something to behold. It's amazing how this game both acts as a stand-alone entry and a follow-up to the original Xenoblade Chronicles. That entire beginning sequence perfectly illustrates this. It's a sequence that gets explained as an in-universe thing with how life "began" after it ended in the Xenoblade 2 world. But if you played Xenoblade 1, it suddenly adds so much depth to Klaus/Zanza as a character. In Xenoblade 1, we knew he destroyed the universe before, but never knew why. But now we know. It wasn't the simple curiosity of a single man that destroyed the universe, but desperation. A desperate attempt to survive in a world that's slowly dying (parallels :] ). I wouldn't say that Xenoblade 2 is completely without flaws, but those flaws/shortcomings I can easily look past since everything else is either done so exceptionally well, or because it really appeals to me as a person.

Checked the comments and I don't believe anyone's mentioned this yet, but you actually get 2 new titles screens if you beat the game on New Game Plus (2 variations of the normal one after beating the game) The first one has Nia come and shove Rex from behind, taking his place in holding hands with Pyra and Mythra while Rex looks back and embarrassingly scratches the back of his head The second has Rex, Pyra, and Mythra turn around and invite Nia to join them. Having all 4 of them holding hands

So in case anything went over your head, essentially, during the cutscene at the beginning, you are seeing Klaus creating the universe that Xenoblade 1 takes place in, however their world is destroyed while this is happening. Half of Klaus, his god complex half, moves to 1's world and becomes Zanza, and Galea become Meyneth. The other half of Klaus is stricken with guilt and left in the world that his actions destroyed, becoming the architect. The architect created core crystals and the cloud sea and sends them down onto his world, which becomes Alrest, the core crystals feed information back to the Trinity Processor, which is made up of Pneuma (mythra and pyra), Logos (malos), and Ontos. He also seeds life into Alrest and allows it to evolve however it does, presumably disguising the low orbit station "beanstalk" as the world Tree. Ontos at some point fucks off 1's world and becomes Alvis, giving Zanza and Meyneth their godly abilities and allowing them to create Mechonis and Bionis.

Also the other thing I hinted at in old comment is that big enemy you fight in the tornan womb is actually galea (meyneth) going off the ID card that rex picks up after they defeat it. Its depressing that klaus's love becomes a monster in the world hes a depressed good guy in and a god in the world where klaus(or zanza)eventually wasn't a good guy. Regardless both klaus experience extreme loneliness but zanza took a different path due to it. I think if you want look at the fog king's existence in future connected perhaps it's due to meyneth dying and the world's both wanted galea's soul although that implies galea is basically getting the fiora treatment and having to be a passenger in her own "mindless body" so perhaps galea's soul went to 1's world while her body stayed in 2's and became a disfigured mess of a creature and machinery who knows

The Conduit's shape, and the Aegis' Core Crystal shape, is exactly the same as a very similar object from Xenosaga - the Zohar. - There are actually two different Pyra/Nia Lv4 Blade Specials. The one used depends on which one is currently active. - All the Drivers have different confused descriptions of the swingset. It's kinda sad to witness... - To be clear, what Rex encounters in the dim mindscape are born from Rex's own woes. He was more worried about how everyone else felt over his own well-being... - To summarize: Klaus's experiment with the Conduit fundamentally broke Earth, one half being isolated in its own pocket dimension as the world of Bionis and Mechonis. These halves would eventually be repaired into their own full worlds, by the efforts of Klaus and Alvis. - Every Core Crystal is like an ether-based supercomputer. Much like Alvis...And of course, the brain cell replacement purpose explains how they could be transplanted into people like Rex and Zeke to heal them. - The Cloud Sea's ability to remake matter into familiar objects is how salvagers always have things to fish out of it. - Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Cure God's Depression - As Tora states, Poppi's modes represent different ages - Alpha is a little girl, QT is a teen maid, and QT Pi is a young adult. Interestingly, each new mode looks much closer to a human than the last. (Oh, and all three modes have the same voice actress, hehe.) - There's actually one more guest "Blade" from the Land of Challenge - Elma! (Oh, since you can access the Land of Challenge as early as the start of Chapter 4, the cutscene only has Rex, Pyra, Nia, Dromarch, Tora, and Poppi talking.) (I guess since you have the Expansion Pass, you can get another artificial Blade that the other Drivers can use.) - The final battle truly has some "Suicide By Cop" vibes to it, doesn't it...? Malos's only friends are all gone now, his Father is about to vanish, and Amalthus's despair is still lingering. It's no wonder he'd try to force Rex's team to end him. - That moment where we see Niall, Eulogimenos, and Raqura are leading their people through the attack - it's...strangely powerful. - {also drying eyes as Pneuma stays behind} - What do you think? Was Pneuma transferring her whole Core Crystal to Rex a gambit? A way to ensure that her selves would be safe with him? And how much do Pyra and Mythra remember...? - If you ever do New Game+, you'll be able to gacha-pull three other Blades (Akhos, Patroka, and T-elos) and have a chance to recruit Mikhail at a certain point. Y'know, if...if you're interested. - {at new title screen} ...Ehehehe. There's actually a bit more to this if you wait long enough. _"We're...finally here."_

All of the enemies, to different degrees, at some point you simply emphatise with... Congratulations on finishing the game! This is always such a journey. Fun thing about this - after finishing XC1 and 2 for the first time, I was convinced that the first game had a better story. But after watching other playthroughs and replaying both games, I completely changed my mind. While the first game's twists and foreshadowing are very impressive, the story itself and character arcs aren't nearly as good. These cutscenes still make me cry every time.

Ontos deniers are in shambles after that xc3 dlc teaser but yeah if it wasn't clear before alvis is ontos and most people thought that alvis got transported into the xc1 universe before or with zanza but actually he goes to the xc1 verse after architect klaus begins planning his reconstruction of the world so basically the timeline goes like this, klaus activates the conduit aka zohar, he rips the universe apart and sends half of himself and others into other universes, architect klaus plans to rebuild the world so he readies the trinity processor, alvis initiates the space time transition event and then goes to do his business in xc1

Finally the end of this journey , i really love this game, its my favorite xeno even with all the flaws, i don't know why but there's something special about this game. Regarding the other games I have played the entire numbered trilogy in the order 2,1 and 3, be prepared for Torna and 3 when you get there.

I don't know if someone already commented this, and I don't know if it'll make you cry even more at this ending, but. Either Pyra or Mythra says here depending on what you choose to name Pneuma. Also, we don't know what they're saying here. The American and the Japanese animations for their mouths moving are different, so there is a meaning, but it could be one of two. They could be saying "I'm home." Implying a happy ending for them all. Or they could be saying "Hello, I'm Pyra/Mythra." Which would mean they lost their memories and are starting from zero like every other blade. I found this channel thru this video and am binging your entire library. Hoping to see more soon!

@@skyeifer You should give it another chance or just move on to Nioh 2 if you want since Nioh 2 kinda explains already the plot of Nioh 1. Nioh 2 improves upon Nioh 1 in every way possible, of course the game is hard, but very satisfying plus you can call on other players to help you out too. Also story is very emotional, and underrated imo. Got me to tear up a bit at the end lol. Btw I’ll catch one of your streams one day as well.

Fun fact: there are a couple alternate versions of that post-game title screen. One has Nia standing with the group, holding their hands as well(implying that she and Rex talked and that she's part of the relationship) and one where Nia pulls Rex out and takes his place holding Pyra and Mythra's hands, lol.

I don't know if someone already pointed it out to you, there are some good little things if you play New Game + and finish it. Don't know if you want to do it, so I don't want to spoil it, so SPOILER FOR NG+ In New Game + you can find as blades Patroka, Akhos, Sever, Obrona, Perdido, Cressidus (The blades of Torna), and after Mikhail "dies" you can find him on the bottom entrance of the World tree, he survived the fight and will join you as a blade. Not only that, there are also two different title screen once you beat the game, I suggest you to check them on YT

Thanks for sharing this experience with us. I played the game multiple times and watched quite some playthroughs, but it always gets me in the end. I guess, this, the story and the characters make it my favourite game of all times (even after playing XC3). Another reason this game is so fantastic, is the music and the use of motifs. In this video kzbin.infoswk4RUQwFSA?feature=share&t=4952 someone just listens to the music and talks about music theory. He starts crying just from the music alone, without even knowing what happens in game, right at the point where you also really started crying, being the point Mòrag salutes Pneuma and leaves. For the imo best two title screens, you have to finish a new game+. You should do that anyway, if you find the time, because after beating Torna, a lot of things get a different touch and also, knowing what will happen, you can see the foreshadowing better. Fun fact: If you get Shulk, Fiora and Elma to Alrest, and have KOS-MOS, there is a mission to get an affinity node for KOS-Mos where you have the protagonists from Xenosaga, Xenoblade 1 and Xenoblade 2 alltogether. Only Eli and Fei from Xenosaga are missing, I guess because of Square's copyright.

@@skyeiferThat title screen was another hint at XC3 I guess.. You clearly want to know about these two. They're both one of the most beloved characters from earlier games. Elma is one of the protagonists in XCX. In XC2, you can also get her in the Land of Challenge by completing the Otherwordly Fighter mission. You can then use her as a Blade and get another banger battle theme (imo one of the best in the whole series). KOS-MOs is one of the protagonists from Xenosaga. In XC2, she's the infamous RNG Blade with the 0.1% base chance. So there can be some grinding involved to get her, and some on the more unlucky side, never got her at all.

Well now that you officially uploaded the ending I have one thing I been dying to say. You should really check out Alvis's design in definitive edition they changed his necklace from a random key to a red core crystal which implies he is ontos which people theorized after 2 came out and monolith subtlety confirmed with that change albeit there were a lot of "ontos deniers" despite it being so obvious the only thing ontos deniers. 2's dlc not being canon sucked but theres a line rex or mythra says to shulk about his sword because they know it belongs to ontos. I think it was at some point planed that they would forget everything but the way they interacted with Poppi i doubt they forgot everything. i always thought she said "tadaima" or something like that because it would match the lip sinc.

This is one of the only parts that actually got a lip sync in the English dub, but the Japanese version matches with "tadaima". Also, Pyra and Mythra are not normal Blades who gather information, but a part of the Trinity Processor, designed to process the data. So it doesn't make sense why their memory would get erased.

It's not Ursula's VA, Phillipa Alexander, in the video you linked, but singer Adriana Figueroa and it's not actually in the game but added to Chuggaconroy's video, so it's fan content I guess. In the game you can only hear the Torigonda playing, even though everybody praises Ursula's voice. So I'd guess those aren't the official lyrics either, but written by Adriana.
