I can only respect the people who have used a lot of their time to renevate these beautiful aircraft. It's like they are new from a factory.

Yes, that was a cold start on the 190. I haven't heard anything lately regarding the Dora. That would be so cool to hear fired up!

Jason is correct, the slats on the 109 and 262 do not lock up or down. They deploy and retract in relation to airflow and air pressure. BTW, Jason I like how you correctly phrased "Not flown for display by John Penney", it seems that whatever that man touches breaks!!

They don't lock but if you push them on the ground they will stay that way until airflow opens them back up during take off.

Sure wish I was there to see this! I did get to see the FW 190 D-9 at the Natl. aviation hall of fame in Dayton, OH. I'll have to make it on Sept 21st for Air war over Russia day!

At 13:00 I imagine a great big vapor cone poofing around the 190, as if it broke the sound barrier. Just my imagination...

Isn't the bf-109 a restored combat veteran? Or is it th focke wulf?
@fight2flyphoto8 жыл бұрын
Both are actually. 109 fought in Battle of Britain and the 190bserved on the Eastern Front. :-)
Wow Paul, ( Mr Allen )...you have one of a kind planes and put those kind of boring paint schemes on them? you built them like I did as plastic models...there are better schemes to paint on an Fw-190 and Me-109. go back to the books man.

Yes, let's erase the history in favor of some "cool looking" designs. Both the 190 and 109 are wearing the markings they had when they were in service and recovered. Doesn't get much more authentic than that. But thanks for playing. ;-)
