We decided to do another extended event analysis of Xu Xiaodong MMA's amazing anti-bullshido career. This time we bring in striking coach Dean Rosenwald again to look at the Xu Xiaodong 2019 event that is sometimes coined "birdboxing." Basically, Mad Dog Xu took on self-proclaimed kungfu master Tian Ye. Tian Ye was the one who challenged Xu at Xu's gym, according to Xu. According to Xu, Tian Ye came to Xu's gym with reporters to try to make it look like Xu wouldn't fight him, but Xu was prepared with his own reporters and a contract, so when Tian Ye came, they signed a contract. And throughout this time, Tian Ye was always cursing Xu online. According to Xu, his feeling during the entire match was “无奈.“ In this analysis by Jerry and Dean, we'll look at the sign that Xu held at the end that is super OG. 徐晓冬和田野的擂台格斗得到英文解说。To see my interview with Xu, please go check out Fight Commentary Chats (linked below timecodes). It was a really detailed interview that clarified a lot of confusion around Xu's story.
