In high school football years ago something like this kinda happened to me. I lost my helmet during a tackle and took another helmet to the head while I was going down. I had a bad concussion and after slowly working myself up to walk off I was wobbly walking to the sideline and the medical trainer saw me and came out to help. When he came over I tried tackling him (more like I attempted to tackle him but I pretty much just fell on him). 3 days later my parents were talking about it and I didn’t remember any of that happening. It was scary knowing I involuntarily did something and had no recollection of. That was the day I realized how serious concussions actually are

Pedestrians and cops need to take this explanation by the doctor to heart….A person gets in an accident that involves head trauma (like a fight, car accident etc;), they may then try to fight you while you’re trying to help them…They may not be intentionally trying to harm you….A firearm presented in those situations adds a different threshold of danger, but cops especially need to view car accidents and such with a little more scrutiny, even if a firearm is simply “near” a person that’s disoriented.

Good breakdown. People often think that concussions happen in fights when the fighter goes completely out but many fighters suffer concussions even while winning the fight. Basically, going out doesn't guarentee a concussion and not going out doesn't save you from a concussion. Just a 1 example, when the korean zombie fought Brian Ortega he got hit with a hard spinning elbow that sat him down and he got back up and fought to a decision. After the fight Zombie said in interviews that he does not remember the last 3 rounds of the fight. He 100% got concussed judging from the memory loss but still got up and kept fighting. To sum it up, concussions are weird.

It infuriated me that the coaches tried to pick him up and carry him off the field supporting him under the knees, before putting him in a wheelchair, even though it was after the game and there was no rush to move him. Why not just wait for the cart and the medical professionals to handle the situation that they are trained for without potentially causing further injury?

Stopping the fight in order to protect the fighter from harm, if the fighter isn't defending themself, if her or his eyes have glazed over, etc., is a hard call. Stoppages and how fouls are seen, handled, etc., remain one of the largest areas in MMA and the UFC specifically where consistency is the most troubled. That said, it's never or rarely one-sided. Meaning, that if the ref in question doesn't like fence grabbing or eye poking, they will be all over BOTH fighters equally. The ref's in UFC remain some of the best I have seen in ANY sport, with fairness and impartiality not even a question. But the issue is comparing ref to ref in these two areas with the goal being ref's officiating similarly in regards to fouls and stoppages. But they remain, in general, TOP shelf.

There was a clip going around a while back where a fighter got knocked out, started trying to double leg the ref against the fence and the ref just chokes him out with a guillotine and sends him right back to the shadow realm

I saw your slap fighting video and you clearly don’t believe that is a safe sport. Is this significantly different? Love your videos.

goddard proved it was good a stoppage after the fact. if a guy isn't aware enough to realize who he's fighting, he's out

What people mean by bad stoppage here is that the ref let it go on too long.
