My dad was an aircraft mechanic for the ISAF during the Continental War. He told me that the rumour among the maintenance crews at the time was that Mobius 1 actually operated in an old F4 Phantom during Operation Stone Crusher, and that the story of him being a Hornet pilot came about after the war to help the Eruseans save face. Apparently Mobius 1 pushed the plane so hard that he completely destroyed the frame's airworthiness in that one mission, and he was then fast-tracked into the ISAF's Raptor program during the second half of the war. I'm not sure I really believe it, but he does have a photo of a Phantom from around that time with cracks running almost the entire length of the wings and fuel leaking from the engines.

You got that right. I was one of the mechanics for the 111th Omega squadron. Everyone was out of the hangars when Mobius 1 made touchdown. Last time I saw an air frame that jacked up was in 1995, it was a F15 with blue wings.

There was a rumor around our crew that Spare 15 has an experimental Erusean aircraft in his hangar that he used during Operation Two Pairs and actually engaged Mister X with it. Not sure if this is true but later on he got transferred to the LRSSG and I was transferred to another air base. In my fourth year of University, while working on my Bachelor's of History, I interviewed an ISAF pilot who was present for Operation Stone Crusher. He was a part of Halo Squadron. We spoke for five hours at his home in North Point. During the interview, he brought up Operation Stone Crusher. I had tried to avoid asking about the world famous Ace pilot, not wanting to offend my host as every fighter pilot is convinced he or she is the best. My host, however, brought Mobius One up on his own. He told me Mobius One took down a a member of Aquila Squadron right as they arrived. Mobius charged their formation head-on, alone, and merged with them. Mobius One apparently flew through a hail of cannon fire and missile contrails. When Aquila broke formation, one of them did not respond fast enough; he said that he always wondered why and figured that particular SU-37 might have had some kind of engine problem. Mobius One loosed one long cannon barrage along with a Sidewinder and ripped the entire nose and cockpit off the Yellow. He even took a few cannon rounds for his trouble; he landed with three nice, big holes in his starboard wing. The Yellow didn't go quietly. The story of the dog fight over the remains of Stonehenge is almost always told as a long, hard fought dogfight that saw Mobius One slowly, painstakingly maneuver into position to get the one kill on Aquila that day. This pilot insisted that was part of the misinformation around Mobius One. I was curious about this statement; I wondered aloud that the story he told me seemed far more outlandish than the widespread story of the long dogfight. That old pilot smiled at me. What he said still hasn't left the back of my mind. "The stories you've heard about Mobius One... they are lies. Almost all of them. Not because what he did has been blown out of proportion, but because what he managed to pull off, time and again, beggars belief to such a degree the stories have been toned down and neutered just so people won't scoff or brush it off as a blatant fighter tale."
@The_Viscount6 ай бұрын
I absolutely believe it. A friend of the family got to see real footage of him, uncensored. See, my dad used to be the Commandant of the Osean Officer's School at West Point. His personal background was as a tank commander, but he developed a special interest in the engineering and technology schools. Right before he retired, he took a shine to a young cadet named Deanna McOnie. As he put it, "She was brilliant and she knew it." I don't know the specifics of how it happened, but after Dad retired in 2009 she started spending a lot of time with our family tutoring me in high school and babysitting my younger sister. I actually got into engineering school because of her help. Well, at New Years a couple years back, after a few drinks, I asked her about her experience restoring Stonehenge. The thing was a mess. The desert might have preserved things pretty well, but ISAF did a number on the facility. The fact they got any of the guns working again was a miracle. Anyway, get this, while they were surveying the base, they found one of the CCTV servers, and it contained footage of from Operation Crusher. All the pilots were good, but the pilot that took out the central jammer was unbelievable. On his attack run against the jammers, he flew under one of the guns support legs before strafing the jammer with cannon fire. Dee told me she had the rewatch the video twice because it was just that unbelievable. That was Mobius One. She still didn't quite believe it until after Operation Dragons' Breath. Apparently, they ended up needing to aim and sight the gun using old optical rangefinders and gunsights. Because she was staring at it through the telescopes, Deanna got a front row seat to the dogfight around the Arsenal Bird. The drones seemed to focus on one Eagle in particular with a claw with three slashes on his tail. He managed to survive being focused by over a dozen drones and take out several of the Liberty's engines with cannon fire. Seeing him fight the way he did convinced her that the video was real. She told me, "Mage and Strider get the credit, but at least half of their squadron kills were Trigger by himself. I still owe him a beer for what he did that day." Trigger and Mobius One definitely got the same treatment. Coincidentally, I asked about Count. Apparently, he's as good as they say he is, but not as good as he thinks he is.

He mentioned advancing through ruins of old cities hit by Stonehenge which were practically nonexistent thereafter. He still tells me he can hear the sounds of the air raid sirens and the deafening roar of ISAF fighters and Yellow Squardron flying overhead and how disorienting it was watching many of his soldiers blown up defending the base, The absolute power those guns had was shocking. He said that it was absolutely mandatory to stand at least 400 meters back to avoid having your internal organs turn to mush by the shockwave. My Dad was in air defence coordination on the Erusean side and pointed something important out to me that seems to often go unnoticed when talking about Stonecrusher. See, Stonehenge actually outranges even the one way combat range of an F/A-18, so in order to make it to Stonehenge, the strike needed to refuel underway. Whether they did seems to either be lost to history or classified but my Dad told me that, after Blackout, they constantly had issues powering early warning radars, so much so that he complained they were basically blind due to power losses. My assumption is that the lack of radars to feed targeting information to the STN is what allowed ISAF tankers to refuel their strike fighters on the way and then lead to the climactic battle, since there's no way to do terrain masking while refueling from a tanker. He was not responsible for the specific sector of the STN but he told me that the guys on duty there basically only noticed they were under attack when Stonehenge visually identified incoming aircraft. That also explains why Yellow squadron was so late to the party, they only scrambled when Stonehenge was already under attack.

I flew for the erusean air force against isaf and osea in the war a few years ago with the 175th fighter bomber squadron during the continental war I ended up being shot down over stonehenge by the grin reaper before aquila sqdrn arrived I ended up landing next to one of the guns and was captured by ISAF forces I will never forget the fear that the ribbon fighter instilled in me reminds me of three strikes in a way thank God I never fought him but I did fly with him against the fools at harlings mirror

I hope Strangereal History becomes a regular April Fools upload. Or maybe just a regular upload series.

ACE COMBAT 3D/AHL LORE ACKNOWLEDGEMENT! I FUCKING LOVE AHL (it’s my favorite Ace Combat, for personal reasons. It’s definitely not the best lol)

You should make a separate Ace Combat channel, following this formula.

The crazy part now There are no longer any Anti-Asteroid weapons left on Earth Pretty much we are screwed now

At least it's a lot easier to build replacements than it is to design them from scratch. Assuming they have the plans, of course.

Arkbird continued to destroy asteroid fragments later on until it was destroyed by the Razgriz squadron. It is also rumored that Pilgrim 1 also destroyed another asteroid that was on it's way to earth

@@Groza_DallocortI like to think being close to a legendary pilot gave her that same energy that let her destroy the asteroid through pure crackhead determination.
