I tried that half water half glue method. The full glue method around the cuticles did wonders for me

Amber Hays this was pure glue - it works better as far as peeling, but I was a little disappointed that it didn't want to wash right off for me

I love it. I went to that big lots that you mentioned and they had the Sally Hansen magnetic polishes for $1.80. I got two. And a couple Maybelline color show colors for a dollar each. That's definitely my new go to place for discounted nail polish!! Score!!

I had my own DIY peel off base coat n it works really well on my skin around the nail. Before i do any sponging on my nails, i would apply one layer or 2 n after all my nails r done, i can easily peel them off. But the glue is really sticky so its hard trying to not have your fingers touch each other or other things, otherwise the glue would stick on it n peel off. Also its best to peel off the glue before top coat otherwise any part of the glue affected by the topcoat would be harder to remove

I didn't realize October is the official month for depression awareness. My son took his own life in October 2007 so this is something I won't forget now. I will be doing this manicure this week in memory of Robin Williams. Thanks for the info.

I love this combination of greens. I was wondering if you have any tips on how to choose colors from different color families for a sponge gradient (such as pink, yellow, blue)? I love how this method comes out but besides the cleanup, I get stumped on choosing colors to put together.

neonkinpatsu I don't really have any method, I just look at the colors together & then do a little test swatch, I had a 4th green I was going to include but it didn't really match the tone when I did my test

@SimpleLittlePleasure Colleen, Thank you for brining depression awareness attention. Many of us suffer this problem, and it is hard to describe to others how hard it is to try to be happy when you really want to. I have a request. Could you do something for MS awareness? There is a trick though. Since most of us with MS have issues with coordination and steadiness, it would need to be something we could do that even a shaky or not easily controlled hand could do. I know lots of women that would love a cute design they could do on their own and look professional, and not like their 2 year old painted everywhere but the nail. I thank you again for your designs and that you put thought into coming up with ideas with important themes and causes behind them. Michelle

Target, walmart, cvs, walgreens, sallys beauty supply, Ulta all have them. My personal favorite are the ones from sallys. Hope this helps :)
