I feel like I just finished a really good novel. I knew the ending - it was expected, known, and much anticipated - but it was so well written, the expectancy did not inhibit nor diminish my own race to the end. I was behind in viewing until you guys entered the Whites...then I caught up and have been waiting for each new upload, even after knowing you had finished and how. I think that’s how your vlog has always been. It’s not about the entertainment value (although I would argue that the reason you skyrocketed in subscribers/views after starting the AT is because of the sensationalization factor....I mean a family of 8 with a two year old hiking the 2200 some odd miles spanning all those states with varied terrain, literally risking their lives...it’s pretty hard to NOT be impressed with that. You would have to have a cold, dead heart, I think. Anyway) I think it’s about the fact that you stir up the innate belief in all of us that we were not put here on accident or by chance and that our hearts gravitate towards a known design from a Creator who loves us beyond what is fathomable. Thank you for sharing the story and stirring up what the heart yearns for. It was a labor of love in more ways than one, as you know. I loved Memory’s gut feeling share: “It feels like the night or day before running a marathon” said no 11 year old ever 😊

I would have loved to see you all summit, but admire your choice. I personally was more choked up watching you finish at your smaller, two-year-old friendly sign than I would have been had you finished further up the mountain with a park ranger on your butt. After this many months of following your hike, looking forward to the posts more and more with each mile, this is my decompression post. So forgive me for being so long winded. LOL But seriously, I would like to thank you not just collectively, but also individually for sharing your incredible journey. Ben and Kami...haters are gonna hate. You handled them all with unbelievable patience and tact. Thank you for not letting it get to you, and continuing to vlog your hike. Also, I honestly do feel that your non-traditional approach to parenting, and your views on family are marvelous. I hope many have learned from you through this experience. You are raising six remarkable children and should be very proud of all of your accomplishments. Dove...girl, you are a beast! Besides your impressive stamina on the trail, the dedication and responsibility you show is very commendable. As others have said, you have a lot to offer the world and are definitely going to go places! Eden - of everyone in the family, I rooted for you the most often. You remind me of my (adult) daughter who is a bit too much of a girly girl for a thru hike, and primarily due to the lack of a shower, would have never made it past the first week, and certainly not without complaining every step of the way. Your dry sense of humor cracks me up. After a while even “for lunch today…” became amusing simply due to your expressions. And you also showed a heck of a lot of stamina with that huge pack you were carrying. I hope you’ve long since enjoyed a long hot bath and a pedicure! Seven - add me to the list commending your phenomenal editing throughout a thru hike. You definitely have talent. Under normal circumstances it would have still been great editing, but on a thru hike, under the circumstances you had to deal with...simply spectacular. Also, on a side note, you do an amazing job coping in a family with so many females. :-D Memory - maybe you are camera shy, seems you got the least amount of airtime. I would have loved to see more of your beautiful smile (and I love the hair!). However, from what I gathered, you seem to be a girl of my own heart, always noticing the abundance of living things along the trail, and appreciating the beauty in nature. Filia - my dear, without knowing it you may be helping to make one of my own dreams come true. My grandson just turned eight and knows I wish to do a thru hike of the AT. He has commented on wanting to come with, but always felt he was too young and couldn’t do it. Since watching you he is developing a different opinion on how much his age matters. You have definitely shown that someone quite young is capable of doing quite astounding things if they set their mind to it. And Rainier...I have loved watching you grow through this hike. Your toddler fits because you had to go back in the carrier choked me up every time, but what a trooper you were! And although your memories of this will be vague, in the end it was you that allowed this amazing family of yours to demonstrate to all of us what it meant to FIGHT FOR TOGETHER on this hike. Thank you one last time to all of you for allowing us to all tag along. Congratulations once again, and HIKE ON CRAWFORDS! #appalachiantrailthruhikers #finishwellwithtwoyearolds #fightfortogether #thightansrock

Awesome finish! The video made me cry the whole way through. You did it as a family and you finished as a family, memories, and friends were made that will never be forgotten. God is so good, you made sure to keep God first and you took Shabbat off as much as you good...and God watched over you, protected you and sent you help in so many ways. Just awesome!!!! So thankful you took us along the way. I have to tell you - our family went to Gatlinburg, TN in June and I just had to stop at Newfound Gap. I wanted to get out, see the white blazes and just touch the trail. Then I had to tell my family the story of you all staying in the bathrooms during the snow storm and then the terrible stuff that happened the next day. Seeing those white blazes just strengthened my desire to want to do the trail. Secondly, being there just made me think of how much you went through with your kids to make this dream be a reality....and you did it!! Through good times and bad you did it! Such an awesome accomplishment indeed!

Congratulations, Crawfords!! Testings, trials and tribulations, and then "triumph!" - yes, "the trail will provide." How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. One foot in front of the other and nibble that sapsucker to death!! Yes, "perseverance pays!" Such an interesting story! - plenty of "drama and trauma!" And really, what make a special story are the characters or in this case, each individual "Crawford" who contributed to this "conquest." There couldn't be a better name for this vlog than "Fight For Together," for that is exactly what played out before our eyes during each of those 161 days. Many miles of memories I'm sure for y'all to "chew on" for days to come. I thank God for your health and safety and for all those "trail angels" (especially "you know who") for showing kindness, compassion and generosity are still an active part of our American dream.

When scripture describes the glory of the Lord covering the earth, too many think of skies rolling back or myriads of angels or bright lights or everything burning up. That last scene of celebration was glorious. Every moment, easy or hard, was dispensing glory. Your family emits His glory. His people are the vessels which carry and emit Divine Glory and we see that glory in every face. Look at the people you blessed, who blessed you and those who were there at the finish. Its all glory! Thank you for caring so much to present this glorious story to the world.

I didn't really want to watch this video. I didn't want the trek to end. But life is like this. We go in and out of seasons, phases, journeys and trials. Besides just hiking the AT, which is a monumental achievement in and of itself, the work that went into documenting your journey is unbelievable and the product was amazing. So we will see what is next for FFT. We who sit at our computers/phones/tablets and anxiously wait, hoping to see a video notification pop up, cannot thank you enough. I hope to meet you all one day and shake your hands. And finally, thank you for your testimony and unashamedly talk about your faith. May God richly bless the Crawfords. Thank you Ben, Kami, Dove, Eden, Seven, Memory, Filia and Rainier.

I've watched the videos of several other thru-hikers this Summer, some of them made it and some didn't but the Crawford Family has by far been the entertainment/inspiration highlight of the season. Now that the tears are under control, I have to say well done! I remember being sad at the last live stream because I didn’t know when I would see you all again. Then, BAM, you hit us with dailies for most of the trail. It was one of the best gifts I have been given. You completed the A.T., however, you did so much more than a huge hike. You changed your family forever. You changed many families in ways you may never know about. I have so many thoughts I can’t put them all down here. You ALL did many difficult things and brought glory to God through them. God also blessed you in many ways. Oh my........you must do the book. After some r&r, it would be cool to have a live stream to talk about the trail life and what happens now. I’ll be looking for that coffee grinder❣️

They will probably want to make a movie about you guys now? It's been fun and a now a little sad that it's over but a great family message. I was thinking about the last time I took a day trip to Woody Gap which is not far from Springer Mountain which I believe was in March. It was about that time I stumbled across your family on You tube and couldn't stop watching. I only live about 40 miles from the trail and when I visit Woody Gap again I will think about all the greats that crossed Hwy 60 at that spot on their way of that 2000 plus mile journey. The Crawford's are one of the great's and you guys rock! Ben you are the last true Family Man!

I've been watching the AT vlogs from the beginning for the past month now. At first I was so judgmental of y'all, only thinking the worst would happen and "how dare they take these young kids into these dangerous conditions".. Then after maybe the 3rd video I made a complete 180 and realized just what amazing parents you two are, how prepared you both were, and most importantly, how prepared your amazing, intelligent, strong children all were because of how well you two have raised them! This journey has been my ultimate favorite show I've watched in a very long time. I am shocked that each episode does not have millions of views. Congratulations to you all! Thank you so much for allowing us viewers to feel like we were with you. You have opened my eyes to alternative ways of raising children and you have also inspired me to go on more hikes and even try backpacking/section hiking, which is something I will be doing very soon!

What special gifts from God: that you were able to share this adventure as a family; that you were provided the time and resources to do so; that people and their support appeared on the Trail when you needed it; that you were inspired to share this journey with us; that you have this platform to give the glory to God!!! As all of you have grown on this Trail, so too have we, your viewers, critics, cheerleaders, and Trail Angels. You have been interesting, intriguing, inspirational, thoughtful, and thought provoking...all of you! ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS! CONGRATULATIONS *ALL OF YOU!* We have been following you since April, and have grown to cherish your journey and how you have shared it with us. Both your Appalachian Trail journey, and your journey as a family. Thank you. And Thank You Again. I haven't seen you mention it, but we have noticed how much your kids have grown and matured during the trip. Maybe you are too close and the changes have been so close you haven't noticed in the other things going on. You have mentioned several times how proud you are of them for finishing and sticking to it, and growing together as a family, but it is noticeable to us, that each of them has grown (not just physically, but that too!) and matured along the trail. They are astonishing, and when you have time, you might want to go back and watch them at the beginning and compare to the finish of the journey. Dove looks like she could reach out and confidently control the universe. Seven is ready to make major motion pictures. . Eden could do anything she wants to do. Memory is confident and competent and will find a place wherever she goes. And Filia - it is obvious to me that there is so much going on in her thinking that she is afraid if she gives voice to all of it, there will be an explosion, a tidal wave that might overwhelm her, and she doesn't know where it will end or where it will take her, so she throttles almost all of her thoughts, and keeps looking for feedback from others to see if what she is saying is socially acceptable and valid. So hardly anything gets out. Would that she finds a place or way to let it flood out and ride it! The vastness and perspicuity of what she is thinking would probably surprise us all. I am looking forward to continue to watch your journey as it goes forward. Thanks again!

Hey Rainier...Your family is amazing. You have all humbled and inspired me. You have been transparent and vulnerable, while also being formidable and determined. You have entertained and convicted me in a way I wasn't anticipating. I only wish I could go back 20 years and pack my family up and in faith head down the trail. I sincerely thank you all for sharing your journey and your faith. The Creator has surely been smiling down on you throughout your trek. God bless and good luck in the next stage of life!!!

Congratulations! I am so happy for you guys! I binge watched this over the last week. You did it together. You guys stuck together through the pain, the rain, the fires, the snow, the heat. The trail is not the dirt and rocks you walk on or even about the the final summit. But it is about the time spent with your family and the wonderful people you meet on the way. I want to get out with my family and spend time with them. Thank you for sharing this with us. Congratulations FFT.

My favorite part of this is hearing Ben talk about how proud he is of the kids. Made me tear up for sure. We don’t have to climb mountains to tell our kids we’re proud of them doing hard stuff- but for sure if they do climb them it has to be said. I think that’s the entire point of Fight For Together.

Of course binge watch a bunch of older episodes and feel like I got to know you a little. I have learned so much from you and even changed a few things I do with my own family. I’m just so incredibly happy for you all and this amazing thing you did as a family. Sorry you got smoked out in Seattle. I remember how hard transition back to the world was after trail. I’m happy you all have each other to help make it easier. So much love to you all. Hope some day our paths cross. Rasta legs

It Does feel like the last day of school! I have thoroughly enjoyed watching all of your vlogs, and all of the people you met along the way. The Degenerates, Trailer Boys, Hudson, PeeWee, Ground (?) Watching all the children grow up along the way, especially Rainier, with his improved vocabulary, cognitive thinking, and how long his legs had gotten from growing, truly is inspiring for any family that wants to follow in your footsteps. The older children who took turns carrying Rainier, is what family is all about. You all made it, and Together. Congratulations!
