there is in fact a scarlet rot greataxe that allows you to put a secondary status on it, i think it requires like 30 strength and 14 dex. its a pretty alright weapon and fun to experiment with

Uhm I dont remember if you mentioned it but there is also the: Kindred of Rots Exultation talisman which increases Attack Power when there is rott or Poison in Vicinity.

I actually just got done with my 2nd play through using the Godskin Peeler and The Antspur Rapier both with Seppuku, you pair that with a +10 mimic and the bleed / rot build up is just insane on almost any boss, the only 2 it wasn’t great on was the rematch with Godfrey and the Radagon / Elden Beast. I think they both have high resistance to status effects but besides that super fun build to play with

Man I'm telling you. Fingerprint greatshield. Block talisman. Hoar frost Estee. Absolutely BROKEN. I'm bad at pvp but it's SO STRONG. I've gotta have a 20kd with it. If you put magic on the shield you can counter moonveil, cause you can just block attack and trade it. Anything melee? No problem they can't trade either and you barely use Stam to block.

To do this a little easier, put poison on the Antspur rapier and Seppuku weapon art for blood, then use the ice rapier. All four statuses.

I might try a spinoff of this, doing poison/rot for double DoT and using Poison Moth Flight for big bursts of damage. Gonna use this build as a baseline

For pvp, if you’re going to run heavy armor, I’d recommend using bloodhound step in your main hand rapier, with the poison infusion and in your off hand throw on poison moth flight. It’s helped me a lot for mobility in pvp and it saves me talisman slots so I don’t have to run arsenal talismans. I use kindred of rots exultation, rotten winged sword insignia, erdrees favor +2 and carian filigreed crest to spam bloodhound step/moth flight

Random question about builds, you know how in the Dark Souls games, some weapons would get higher buffs if you made them sacred/crystal/chaos? Are there weapons like that in Elden Ring, and if so, what are they? I would love to play around with ashes of war more, but I feel like the scaling on special weapons blows the standard ones out of the water for Int or Faith builds.

JUST picked up the armor. Took some grinding to get the final seedbed curse. Now I'm hunting for the Antspur and the rest of the items. Is there a chance to get a second Antspur in one play? Really might have to rethink this build. I went all in at 40 end 80 Dex. , but I really liked the master of the blade build you did. If I can't pick up a second Antspur before going into NG+ might just drop this one. That OMEN set took some work to get just to specifically make this build 🤣

I'm wondering how it would work out if you did something using a quality twinblade of some sort with hoarfrost stomp and you get vigor and endurance where you're comfortable with them, 54 STR for two handed soft cap, 12 faith to use blood flame blade with a frenzied flame seal to get scaling on STR and DEX and dump the rest of your points into Dex.

Basically that shield has an ability that reflects spell damage back at your attacker. It absorbs the damage and shoots back a high damage tracking projectile that doesn’t cost any FP. When you are using that immolation spell, you can spam it infinitely.
