I'm in the Houston area and I've noticed how these corporate hedge funds have bought up a huge percentage of the homes in our area. I'm currently renting from a corporate landlord ( Tricon ) and the best description I can give is that they're tyrants. Even though my credit is over 800, I'm treated more like some sort of deadbeat by this company with all of the nickel and dime fees and the generally punitive behaviors that they engage in. Are there any legal resources that Shelterforce can refer us to?
