Way to get it, you were one small kick away from first. I got booted down to cat C from B a while back and honestly, it's just more fun and it's still plenty difficult. I found B demoralizing because I didn't have the time to put in to get from 3.4w/kg to compete at 4.0+. While I don't win at C races that often, being somewhat in the mix has me riding more and ultimately to me that is what matters. I feel at home with my 3.4 people.

Solid ride and not sure you could have timed it any better. They were right on ya and just waited. These sprinters races are no joke as it seems full gas the whole way. Tuesday morning races are just pure hell on wheels. Keep it going and great podium!!! 🥉💪

Hey, thanks! Previously I didn’t do any training outside of races. But recently I’ve been trying to get better about that. So I’ve started doing Zone 2 workouts and tempo workouts from the FTP builder plan on Zwift. I definitely think that has been helping a bit 👍

@@CaedmonCycling that’s awesome. Although zone 2 can be boring , if you pair that between your racing you’re going to feel way more comfortable doing more efforts in races. If you’re open to suggestion: I might suggest including some Muscle Tension intervals. (Low cadence work between 50-60 rpm’s!) it’ll improve your form in hard efforts and sprints!

@@CaedmonCycling I’m no expert but you could experiment . I personally like doing low cadence in zone 2. Lower cadence just builds muscle strength kind of like weight lifting alternative. (Not a complete replacement)

Great racing, dude. That’s so ridiculous, you should be able to cruise around a C race at 2.7, 2.8 MAXIMUM. Seriously, what’s that pace all about? Top sprint, just better timing as you say. Next time…think Sand and Sequioas next time will suit you well in C

I guess the times have changed haha. Cat C seems way more competitive now with guys at 3.5 and 3.6 20-min powers (including me). I don’t remember ever seeing that before. I did enjoy being in a race at the end though, it had been awhile 😅

Times and the calculations on Zwift changed. Seeing people with ~3.5-3.6wkg for 20min in C Cat is now a legit thing. I think they improved sandbagging with it, but in that case they seem to not listen to the people. #BringBackConeOfShame ^^ @@CaedmonCycling

Hey, thanks! That is the final results on ZwiftPower. Zwift has a good FAQ page on ZwiftPower. Just search “ZwiftPower FAQ” and it should come up on any browser 👍

What is your trainer difficulty set at? My guess very low based on how you sprint at the end of every ride. Bump it up and you will get better results. 🎉

It’s set right around 40-50%. I think I upped it to like 90% once on a free ride just to try it out and didn’t really like it much. Do you think it would help keep my cadence steadier?
