This is quickly becoming my favorite metal detecting channel. I've been binge watching vids for a couple weeks now. I like how you don't make videos of you finding nothing. I like all you old dudes' personalities and mild sh*t talk to each other. Thank's for the late night entertainment. Hopefully one day a young guy like me can detect with some old goofballs like you all.

Dropped muskets balls are better in a way then finding fired ones. Dropped ones can mean there’s a lot more around in that one area when fired ones could have came from far away which could make it just a random find. Awesome hunt guys 👍🏼

That one relic you think is a barrel tap is the part that rotates on a barrel tap. A handle would screw into the large hole on its side, the slit is to allow the fluid to flow when rotated and there should be threads inside the small end for a screw that holds the tap handle to the barrel tap.

Nice finds guys 👍. A couple of weeks ago in my front yard I dug up what first thought was a Chinese coin with the square hole (quarter size) but after pulling it out I noticed it was made of aluminum. After cleaning it I discovered it was a 1 mil MS State Tax token that was used between 1936-41. My first token.

7:35 is some kind of drift pin combo, the tapper is made to set it into a tapered receiver and under it you insert a drift pin to lock it. I'm thinking a harness pin for hooking draft animals' joint harness to a plow
