Very realistic. I was doing a Mercedes career and I saw Zhou lock up at the hairpin at Canada and turn left into the barriers which I think caused a safety car which lead to a 1-2

Best strategy is to use the harder compound and to push the tires the entire time. Even if you make a extra stop it’s says it’s faster. I’ve been doing well with that strat.

I have done 2 season with alpine first season alonzo finished 5th and ocon 7th we were 3rd as a team second season I got piastri as my second driver and got leclerc as number 1 we finished 3rd but made big inroads on the main teams and leclerc won the drivers and piastri finished 8th

One tip, the aggression also affects race pace and overtaking, I have seen that low aggression drivers, like Albon, almost never send it, but generally make less mistakes, and high aggression drivers, like Piastri, always send it, but are more prone to mistakes.

Hey Ben, love the videos! I have a tip in regards to the pit stops, when you get the message about pit window you get a bar on the top right of your "driver box" above ers Management, when you hit the green in the middle, that is the optimal pit lap according to strategy. So you should pit the lap before the arrows hit the Green. I hope everyone understands my shit explanation

if you want your teammates to overtake eachother, don't use the button, just use the drs, make sure you conserver tyre with the front car (to mess up the final corner before the DRS straight), and aggressive with the back car. Then as soon as the back car is in front (even 1 meter is enough), you can push the button to prevent teammate fighting.

I play a williams carreer too and at Canada there were 2 big crashes with safety car. First one I did pit on hards which would make it to the end. Second SC nearly everyone pitted and I Was in p2 with piastri and p4 with albon and on my final tyres. It did go so well until 10 laps to go. Albon did straight drive into the wall and piastri Was been overtaking by Zhou in the last round ending on p11. I'm so broken, we were so close. But at least we are still better than Aston Martin 😂

I was 8th in Austria, safety car came, I decided to pit to sorts for the last 10 laps and all out push til the end, safety car lapped me in the pits, couldn't overtake due to the game code finished 17th.

Had that in France. Was driving around p17 when SC came out, couldn't pass the SC so ended up at the back, while tje car in p16 was able to pass the SC and they ended well in the points

Putting under safety car is over powered because even if they have space if the AI doesn’t have destroyed tires and/or it’s not in their pit window they won’t pit.

Anyone else not able to overtake on Drs zones when it’s one on one? Schumacher couldn’t pass a lone Alonso with full push and overtake with drs when he had nothing. He kept catching up to him but immediately back off when he got to his rear and wouldn’t get along side. The alpine isn’t that much fast than the haas in this game is it?

For the love of god has he realised yet that the pit window lap isn't the pit in lap? At the start of the series he was pitting in like, 5 laps early every time 😅 (I did too when I 1St played)

Also big tip I wish I'd noticed sooner, if you're going all out on pace, set that as the right most option when setting up pit strategy. You can set the expected pace for that stint and it'll reflect on the graph and expected tire life in race :) Also on that screen just before you go to race where you edit the pit strat at top, click on the bottom and set pace and fuel etc to what you expect (so for me I set them higher as I push pace more during a race vs having it set to standard or below) and it'll reflect, again, in race, with stuff like more accurate fuel readings and predictions, or have your driver push immediately and engage overtake as soon as the race starts, rather than waiting for the UI to come up and always setting it to that. For the love of god I wish I'd known all this earlier 😅)

This game is so far from being a game words fail me. Q1 Lando .7 quicker than piastri, on the track map it looked more like 10 secs plus. The crash animation is very 1980's. Is it a very very early beta?
