My understanding of a “real fight” or one where you are fighting for you life, you’re going to want to destroy the other person - throat punch, groin hits, raking, biting, foot stomping, hitting back of the head. There are no rules. Not to mention rolling on a hard floor could already result in serious injury if you’re getting put down
@writingonthewalls90522 жыл бұрын
@@J.B.1982 sure you can do all of those things. But those things don’t necessarily need to be taught. Meaning both combats can do those things at any time. But the guy or gal that has access to all of the eye gouging and groin attacks and also has some tested techniques that will give them the most dominant position will have the greatest advantage. Eye gouges and groin attacks included. Rolling around on a hard floor In a fight for your life is a negligible concern for most people. You’ll be fine.

My experience is a fraction of a fraction of what you guys have. My understanding tho, in a real fight for you life situation, you’re not using a rule based fighting system, you’re groin hitting, throat hitting, raking, biting, eye gauging, etc. Also, rolling on hard ground could already have you being seriously injured if you’re getting put down, head, back, or shoulder, in which case, you’re done / dead, so this seems insufficient to really protect yourself outside of a bar fight maybe. Please tell me if I’m wrong
@mattmac60692 жыл бұрын
You are wrong. Planning to just be "dead/done" if you are taken down is ridiculous. For one, never plan to give up the fight, or "lay down and take it" as they say. Two, while you're right that getting slammed on a hard surface can be fight-ending, it isn't always, I've seen plenty of people hit the ground hard on concrete or pavement and keep fighting, you can find many videos of this happening here on youtube. Also, getting slammed is by no means the only way to find yourself on your back in a fight. Real fights, as you said, are chaotic and the terrain is often unstable, people frequently trip, lose their footing, or get knocked down but not out by a strike. Hell, when I was a doorman I saw lots of fights that started with one person being knocked off balance or over by a simple push/shove they weren't expecting. If you're shoved over and don't hit your head, you will find yourself starting the fight on the ground but probably not that badly injured. And this is only to name a few possible situations, there are also plenty of common takedowns that don't involve slamming your opponent hard on the ground, such as drag downs or snap downs. If you find yourself on the receiving end of such a takedown you should hardly stop fighting just cus you hit the ground!
@J.B.19822 жыл бұрын
@@mattmac6069 I wasn't saying to give up. I'm saying if you get your head knocked on the ground you're probably done. Shoulder? Possibly dislocated. And done could mean dead or too out of it to fight. I do see how some fights can be on the ground and both people are not yet hurt so that's something

first time I am not really impressed by a video series of yours. the moves more or less only work, when you can rely on force and body weight, they don't provide enough technique for someone who is weaker or smaller than the attacker, eg. women. And there are quite a few moves out there which will work in said scenario..
@timcullinane74553 жыл бұрын
I have been and am still training in the fighting arts for 47 years I have a Massive amount of respect for BJJ. However he was talking about defense not sport. I have also been training in weapons , especialy knives. How about gouging eyes crippling preasure points. Scratching , biting and most favorable , stabbing You can argue you disarmed my knife. What about the other 2-3 at various locations on my person. What about improvised weopens. Sticks , rocks , broken glass , sand. Defense in sport is good and can be used on the street as long as you understand there are no refs or rules. Fast extremly brutal attacks to vunrable and soft tissue areas , eyes ears throat groin kidneys. Everything you carrry and can grab while fighting should be used. Theres no such thing as a fair fight on the street

General moves for the person who hasn't gone through specific military training. Won't work for shit against a real trained combatant, as you'll just be dead. Watching people do the Marine Corps martial arts programme makes me laugh. Look how long it takes to become a qualified instructor for the course. This stuff works for people with zero combat, hand to hand skills, but against someone who knows what they are doing. Had the fellas tried that on me basic jujitsu isn't going to help much.

Here we go again 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ If its street then f... rules if the mma fighter (Who has probably a history of street fighting like 90% of all mma fighters) let mma rules away and unleashes everything and knows the rules of the street then its the number 1 most effective thing, also due to the conditioning, pace of a fight cus he reads enemies well, openings, distance control etc etc etc. You think some krav maga, wing chun dude would do a thing? BS!!!! Check out Lee Murray (Biggest real gangster in mma) he admitted learning MMA just to f.... people up on the streets but later on he was good at it. Check Roger Huerta (1,75 m, 70 kg) who f..ed up rashad bobino (1,85 m, 110 kg) in 20 seconds or many more cases where a small mma fighter beat a tall giant strongman who towered over him to death. @@jagerthedog4378 I hate to be the bringer of bad news, but having your body thrown into the pavement, or a concrete surface & if your head happens to hit the floor, that's a skull fracture right there. An open-ended palm strike blow under the jawbone will put someone's skill into the tarmac, causing serious injury, fractured skull or brain damage or death. Free tip, stay on your feet, be observant, wear good footwear and stay out of trouble! If someone knows what they are doing, there isn't even a fight in the 1st place. I could show people how to knock people out with two fingers, without a chokehold, where the brain will shut down, making someone unconscious immediately, but I'm responsible, so I don't. I routinely offer to show police in my area safer ways to restrain people without compressing the spine, reducing the risk of injury. Trained vs untrained....sheer luck. Experienced vs untrained, then the person relying on luck may be about to receive hospital treatment. Experienced & trained vs the same, it's about whoever deals the 1st effective blow to shut down the nervous system or cause catastrophic injury, blood loss, and death. Amateurs should just avoid violence and leave it to the professionals.

Sorry, but it is not applicable as priority for associal violence scenario. This is a mix of "martial" arts BJJ, Judo, etc.. All of those need some compliance to be trained and so on..It has nothing to do with "combatives" in its roots... Good for macho alpha challenges in bar fightings or other kind of antisocial ambience... If you want to really "survive" under no rules and no compliance scenarios think twice before engaging on this "octogon experience"...
