Based on my personal experience(s) one of the best ways of dealing with matters surrounding Pride is to always ask ourselves this tough question: Does my action(s) or what 'am about to do give glory to Christ?!

As children of Adam we all have issues with pride including myself! If we want to tame pride in our lives we must learn to submit to the leadership of the holy spirit as we're shaped continually into the image of Christ until we're all glorified at his return!

Does having a great marketing dept help in your fight against pride? Your marketing department has a fine photographer. Why didn’t Jesus think of that? Here we have “John Piper’s favorite ‘plaintive plea’ pose.” Bear witness to the oozing sincerity. Black and white to lend a sense of historicity. Nice, Piper, nice. (Truthfully, when I see one of these thumbnails that are obviously trying to manipulate the viewer, instead of thinking the prescribed thought, I imagine the person sitting on the toilet dropping a big, stinking deuce. It helps with the pride-thing, you know.)
