I’m here John. I’m starting the video. I’m excited I’m ready. There’s a voice telling me that no matter how much I try, no matter what I do the effort I put in won’t have a positive result-I won’t ever ‘get anywhere’. To this voice, I would quote first Ayn Rand then the bible. She said, “you can ignore reality but you cannot ignore the consequences of reality.” To this voice that says, ‘the snow may fall, the rain may fall, but it will water nothing it will bring forth nothing, it will fulfill no purpose’, I say, 10As the rain and the snow Come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, 11so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. The devil can sound out his distorted despair in cutting tones through rusted megaphones over the good land but he cannot stop the _consequences_ of the realities he denies. He may say the falling rain will nourish nothing and the falling snow will accomplish nothing but he cannot stop the consequences of this heavenly precipitation. Does he mock because nothing presently springs Then he knows nothing of germination. Does he say there is no change after the storm up here where others see me? Then he knows nothing of roots. Establish and strengthen me! I send out my roots by the stream (Ps 1). That voice which denies reality will be made to contend with its consequences. I will learn to wait. The purposes of God will be accomplished. It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
