all sinning, whether attitudinal or behaviour, comes from one thing: unbelief in the promises of God.

Another way we can honor God is by trusting in His helping hand in our hardships. Exodus 18 is a good example of trusting in God. Moses told his father in law Jethro all that the LORD had done to Pharaoh and to the Egyptians for Israel's sake, all the hardship that had come upon them on the way, and how the LORD had delivered them. And Jethro glorified God and offered to God a burnt offering. Do we trust that in all things, God works together for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose? Romans 8:28. The covenant that God made with Abraham includes sanctified affliction. Genesis 15:12-21. It is more blessed that our hardships be sanctified to us than if we should never have them at all!!

John 3:11-24( Love❤😊 one❤ another❤) 1 John 3:11-20 "11 This is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another. 12 Do not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own actions were evil and his brother's were righteous. 13 Do not be surprised, my brothers, if the world hates you( or us today in Christ too). 14 We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love our brothers. Anyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life in him. 16 This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. 17 If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? 18Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth. 19 This then is how we know that we belong to the truth( Jesus( John 14:6) is 1st love to me in Christ too in Christ), and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence. 20 whenever our heart condemn us. For God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything."( 1 John 3:11-20 Zondervan NIV Study Bible and all parenthesis parts and symbols in Christ and for Christ. Investors should exercise caution with their exposure and exercise caution when considering new investments, particularly during periods of inflation. It is advisable to seek guidance from a professional or trusted advisor in order to navigate this recession and achieve potential high yields.

Also another way to disbelieve God is to say with King David, "Now I shall perish someday by the hand of Saul." David only said this in his heart , out of not trusting in God's promises. Christ said, "whosoever believes in Me shall never perish." So if even David, a man after God's own heart can act like this, how much more can we do the same? Do you have a Saul hunting down your very life today? Christ never promised that we would have a easy road to heaven, did He? "This I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." John 16:33.

It just means that "worshipping" resources, focusing on the gaining of resources, over focusing is people, causes your faults to be wicked. God's word, realistically, is believing in the power of humanity and society, to improve itself and each other.

I think that Piper is close, but not precisely accurate with his statement that unbelief is the taproot of all sinning. It is my observation based on inferences from Scripture and mine and others' experiences that the taproot of sin is more precisely the lack of awareness or experience of God's love and provision + the inability to cope with it at the time of temptation. In Romans it is said that Abraham was counted righteous for his faith in God and his faith never wavered, yet we read in Genesis that he acted in accordance with his wife's advice and impregnated her maid Hagar as if he had begun to doubt that God would carry through on his promise without him assisting God. So unless there's a contradiction, which I firmly believe that there's not, Abraham's action could not have been because he didn't trust God to fulfil his promise, and likewise when he deceived those kings concerning his wife to protect her as if he couldn't have just told them straight up that Sarah was his wife and God would've protected them. Abraham wasn't acting at those times out of distrust but out of lack of awareness or experience of what God had promised in those instances where he could've used more immediate intervention to avoid bad decisions. Also, all Christians are given the gift of faith and that faith grows because God is working in us to mature and preserve us so that we don't fall away and so that we can please him, yet we still sin while fully trusting in him to give us eternal life. This is so because there are times when we want or feel like we need something and while God has promised to provide our needs and indeed he does, we don't always sense it or experience it so compellingly that our longings and weariness and anxiety-which can oftentimes be beyond our control-dissipates. When we fall then does that mean it was because of unbelief? Not necessarily. Sometimes we just can't cope with our burdens so we seek some other source of the help we do not seem to be getting from God especially when we've been in need for a long while or the sense of need is so strong that we feel something must be done now or else. God knows about these times of weakness and sin whether of unbelief or not, and he has ordained them and allows them, I believe, to maximize his mercy and grace and to develop in us patience and endurance over time that we would not have if he always came to our rescue immediately.

If you say "inability to cope with lack of provision at that specific point of temptation" then again you're touching on disbelief in God's promises of provision , or disbelief in his Grace being sufficient to take you through the specific moment, disbelief in God's love that if He gave up His son for you surely He will ultimately provide for you and is faithful to fulfill His promises, What Pastor John is going for is the ROOT, disbelief and what you are addressing are the branches that can lead to sin, lack of provision, lack of awareness of God and His love, and there might be other reasons too, objective over subjective
@thechocoman

@andanje1986 faith working through love” (Galatians 5:6). No awareness (lack of knowledge) or experience (love of God shed abroad in your heart) will lead to sin. "If any one doth love the world, the love of the Father is not in him, because all that [is] in the world -- the desire of the flesh, and the desire of the eyes, and the ostentation of the life -- is not of the Father, but of the world (1 John 2:15-16) YLT translation. If there is no love OF the Father, rather than love FOR the Father, there will be a manifestation of the lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and pride of life.

@@thechocoman yes I agree with you, but as I said, there are branches and there is the root. It's like if someone asks you, what is the "biggest" (for lack of a better word) sin, someone will say, Homosexuality, another will say murder, and another probably rape, these would be branches, I believe the biggest sin is Disbelief in God, that is the root, cause these causes separation from Him and thus destruction. I don't disagree with your points for me I'm looking at it from a cause and effect perspective..

Piper says he’d like to cheerfully tell his neighbor he’s at odds with abortion and arrogance. What if his neighbor was an unborn child? What if the child was going to be aborted? Wonder if Piper’s cheerful salutation would be well received or reviled? If the child could speak, would it say “I’m thankful you are at odds, but your sentiments ring hollow. What are you going to NOW”? What Piper fails to grasp is both the severity and finality of abortion. To equate abortion and arrogance as similar sins is absurd. Firstly, everybody displays arrogance in one form or another. Is there some gage or meter that would indicate if the amount therein was so horrible it would be deadly? Secondly, the effects of arrogance can be fixed. Trump tweeting meanly is hardly a national catastrophe no matter how the oh-so-timid Piper may construe it (does he get out much?). On the other hand, abortion IS deadly. There are no gradations of abortion. No one goes in for a little bit of abortion. Abortion leads to death. Real, immediate death. Does Piper grasp the finality of death? One wonders if it were pastors being led to slaughter if he’d feel differently. What if the end of a day’s work for an abortionist was a vat of severed legs, arms, crushed skulls, sliced bowels and bruised brains from woke evangelical pastors? Piper, can you see a difference now? The effects of EACH abortion are eternal. There are no replays.
