Wow, not sure how I got here. But, I’m on the journey to becoming a non-smoker. I’m actually starting to believe I am a non-smoker. Everyday I wake up, I’m half confused but half overjoyed. My old routine, which I spent decades doing, was gone. I was FREE to live in my new found freedom. I found all this energy to get so many things done. I now find my self doing way more house chores, going for walks, and trying to learn new things (mostly pertaining to my work which I love). I still find myself craving after some stressful situations, just got to keep believing and remember all the new joyous feelings.

Being present is the only way to break the hard-wired tendency to live in the past or future, making it the only way to leave the prison of our thoughts. ✨
@zigmasslusnys3596
@zigmasslusnys3596 4 жыл бұрын
So to summarize it all: pay attention to the future and don't let negative energy that occurs in your daily tasks set your body back to the events of the past. Like this you won't be blaming other people. Focus on the future, imagine yourself in a place where you want to be and wish it to yourself. It will get hardwired into your brain and body, therefore you'll be happy while there may be many problems that surround you. Did I get this right?

You've got the part right where we set an intention for the future, something that we want to happen in our life. Next, you need to live the feelings as if it's already happened. It 'tricks' the body into believing that this desirable event has already happened. (How would you feel if the event had happened: joyful ,grateful, relieved, in awe, ...) You combine a clear intention with elevated emotions. You also want to connect and build a relationship with what he calls the 'universal consciousness within you and all around you' or 'the field'. His meditations combine these three things. Then, you keep up the elevated emotions for the rest of your day. Listen to some of his lectures, and his first interview with Lewis Howes if you want to find out more.

Your comment has got me thinking. It’s a compelling idea, falling in love with ones future, certainly a powerful one. But what happens when life and the universe have other plans when compared to the vision an individual fashions for themselves? Perhaps this is my own fear based thinking surfacing again, or is there a middle ground to mitigate against course redirections resulting in desolation and devastation.

mead813 People eat shit all the time and sleep like logs for 10 hours. Al Bundy types abound in the western world especially. Right after college I used to go drinking like a beer slob at frat parties, come home and eat an entire, extra large deluxe, sausage, pepperoni and cheese microwavable, chemical laden pizza, then sleep like a baby for 10 hours and wake up feeling GREAT. Pizza absorbed some alcohol and I felt fantastic those mornings. But try losing 3 or 4 whole nights of sleep and see how well you function.

Dont be afraid to come out of your comfort zone. You have to break the glass and set yourself free. We have all been made to fear change and fear the unknown. Joe is telling us what all the gurus, masters, etc have been trying to tell us, but in a simplifed way. Let go of the ideas surrounding fear which have been rooted in our brains from past experiences and then start projecting your new story how you see fit. Once you start to shift your focus, things will start falling into place. Change your energy, change your life.

You don't predict your future, you create it. Yes, from the unknown, but still. Best wishes.

Taking back your life from your own self is not so easy now is it ? The same things that make us laugh...make us cry,and so the decisions that make us hurt are the ones we need to make,fear brings you back to the comfort zone, but not leaving it will mean you won't be able to start your dreams on a new path.What i'm trying to say is...life's hard man

Certainly i can relate to the concept of FRUSHTRATION. In school or from dictionaries i learned it's spelled FRUSTRATION. Where the heck did the extra H come from ??? Now THAT'S FRUSHTRATION.

You lost your free will to a program, the narrative, the record will just keep repeating until you step outside of the system , at least learn balance so you don’t stress, don’t bite off more then you can chew. Learn non-attachment so you don’t over stimulate your dopamine then get depressed, don’t get attached to the temporary, everything that goes up must come down, chasing happiness creates depression because you expect to be stimulated. You are happiness, all you have to do is think your happy and you will be. As your learning your building your Neuro plasticity to not need sugar, drugs,entertainment, eventually you will be aligned to your natural balanced chemistry.
