If I could break this song down the best I could,I would say this song is about a relationship between this guy and a girl who is addicted to drugs and/or alcohol.She smokes like an amethyst She's moving her way through my skin She moves me 'Cause east is the way I go But nobody seems to notice How I feel (this section explains how she is addicted and that he is in love with her,and that he is being used up by being involved with her.) Keep all the lights off And I'll try to kill our past time Just to find your heart Please don't ignore me Or I'll just fall asleep And wake up when you're gone(in the first three lines of this, they way I interpret this,during the sexual encounters with her, he tries to push through their past together,to connect with her, [a little internal conflict as it were.]then after, while they are laying there, he doesn't want her to just disappear again,so he asks her to talk to him, so he can get just a little more time out of her before she is gone again. ) This body only needs To learn to feel the problem disappear(more internal conflict, [he is searching for a way inside himself to let go.]) I froze with those plastic eyes Cutting lose from upon this disguise(plastic eyes refers to his eyes tearing up, looking really shiny,then finally crying and letting go from his usual strong mask.)
