@@fighttips Yeah in mma it's dangerous, however I think Cain Velasquez nailed head movement for mma. Never dropped his head too low but also kept moving his head all the time.

Shane actually is skilled as fuck I sometimes forget about it he absolutely can hang with Vince, and has many tools and uses many from different martial arts even more than Vince but Vince knows through his fighting experience how to use his weapons better. Also pj's boxing defense was great against them

@@matthewreid1175 yeah he just isn't competing for a long time now that's the reason Vince got him on some occasions Shane also boxed a few years ago on big amateur stages but didn't went pro he absolutely could and he picked up boxing pretty fast.

I really like watching pj spar. He’s excellent at pumping out those jabs and crosses and I think if Shane wasn’t so freaking skilled with his head movement pj would have dictated the range with those long punches

Also his punches look very powerful. Shane throws a lot of punches and very fast but they don't look like ko punches. When PJ shoots he moves all his body.

Very sharp movement Shane well done! You completely out boxed the boxing coach! Also one thing I love is that you guys can land clean and precise with head kicks without using too much power to avoid injury. Way too many people can't do that

Please do more of these sparring sessions. I train at a small gym. It's great, but not a lot of people in my town. I enjoy being able to see high level fighter spar. Nice sparring and excellent head movement. Shane seems to incorporate a bit of taekwondo into his fighting, like axe kicks, side kicks and spinning attacks

@Follow the howl shane is a thai boxer and axe kicks, side kicks and spinning roundhkuse kicks are not traditionally taught in thai boxing. Axe kicks and spinning roundhouse kicks have been incorporated into many different arts but they are and always have been part of the TKD syllabus. This is not the same for other arts.

I wish there were more technical sparring here in the Netherlands. Almost every gym here the spar hard and very intense. Almost no time to try out new things because of the intensity. I like more playfully technical sparring but enough that you can feel a punch when the defence is open.

Honest question... What do you think about sumo throws? Most of them are illegal in mma because its illegal to grab the oponents shorts, but ive used them on streetfights and they are do easy to learn that without a coach, i can use them Against heavier oponents... So, i was wondering WHY are they illegal in mma? They are practical, easy, powerfull, do not harm. Nearly as much as a bodyslam... Wjats the point?
