My favourite thing about this guy, is that he shows his missteps. It's super useful: "this is not working as I expect, let me investigate...Ahhh, this is why...". his debugging of issues that everyone will probably hit gives you a great insight into features you never usually get to see.

But when I look in Dribbble to build something, I can't see these values anywhere. What am I misunderstanding? I get how css works, but I just don't get how you know the right values when you see a design.
