I appreciate the return to add red and some life to the skin. This is missing in many tutorials and even in marketing pictures for major figure brands. I suppose that ghostly pallor is almost inevitable when staring at the same face for so much time. Very nice!

I have been aero modelling for two years after an hiatus of some fifty one years & getting used to the new methods & equipment & paints available. My Daughter has recently suggested I try figure painting too, as an extra interest. This is a undoubtedly a new branch for me & , I felt, at a loss as to where to begin, especially as my skills are indeed somewhat limited. This video is, without doubt, absolutely amazing & very tutorial. Thanks for sharing &, I hope, in future, I will be able to come reasonably close to an acceptable display. Good luck.

Happy to hear you found your way back into this great hobby and like my video. I was experiencing the same when I restarted in 2020, a whole new world of materials, paints and products lay in front of me and it was kind of overwhelming. But with time and some experimentation I found my stuff and way to do things. Figures are a special branch of our hobby, something I invested a lot to improve because my figures were horrible two years ago. So don't be afraid of starting them, you will see what works for you with time and learn from the mistakes you will make. I now love figure painting and I am glad that I fought through the trouble at the beginning.

Right I dilute it with retarder, so the paint stays workable longer and doesn't leave tidemarks like it would do with water. And it blends better in the earlier applied layers.

@biberhunter_scale_models Жыл бұрын
