I met Sylvian from Dynamo models. A very nice man. Usually I detest larger figures, as most of them are grossly overpainted and look unreal. That being said, your figure is an exception to the rule and is very much to my liking. I also learned something new about using a retarder. I’ll still stick to my 1/72 scale, but for 1/35 I quite enjoyed the video.

Fantastic work love watching your videos. Just enquiring what is the make and size of the brush you use for painting the figures. You always get an excellent flow of paint.

Thanks a lot, really happy to hear😊🙏 I use mainly a Winsor & Newton Series 7 00 and a Davinci Kolinksi Size 1 for most of the painting. I good ratio of paint and retarder is also helpful for a good paint flow and a thing of practice and routine what will come with time.

This is absolutely fantastic work and thank you for sharing your techniques. May I ask if you have an artistic background or did you just learn by "trail and error" for your miniatures. Also, on average, how long does one figure take start to finish.

I worked around three weeks on this figure, but because of real life the time varied each day. It was not like 4 hours daily.

The one thing I have always noticed. You never seem to know how well a face turned out until you have it on the body. Or at least that is my experience.

Yes exactly 👌 I therefore hold the head over the body from time to time while painting the face, so I might get a better feeling for the direction I am heading. But it's not the same like when the head is glued👍

Moin, schöne Video und Figuren arbeit, Ich finde es nur schade das du alles nur auf Englisch erklärst. Wenn ich auf meinen DEUTSCH Sprachigen Kanal mal schaue habe ich viele Abonenten im alter zwischen 45 und 64 Jahren und die meisten verstehen kein Englisch. Ich finde das es genug Englischsprachige Modelbau Videos gibt. Ich habe vor 4 Jahren mit Modellbau angefangen und versucht Techiken zu erlernen. Mich hat geärgert das es nur gute Videos auf Englisch gibt. Denn ich habe kaum was verstanden. Ich bin 61 Jahre alt und zu meiner Schulzeit gab es nur wenig Englisch Unterricht. Zum glück hat sich rausgestellt das ich wohl ein Modellbau Talent habe. Das war der grund warum ich einen Deutsch sprachigen Modellbau Kanal ins leben gerufen habe und 5500 Abos in 2 Jahren spricht doch dafür das es sehr gut ankommt. Deswegen bitte ich dich den Modellbauern im Deuschsprachigen Raum zu helfen. Es gibt zu wenig von uns. Und würde ich ein Wort von dem verstehen was du sagst würde ich dir sofort ein Abo da lassen. Weil du tolle arbeit machst. Mitlerweile wird alles ( Werbung, unsere Sprache unsw.. ) auf Englisch umgestellt und das finde ich einfach schade. Ich bin weder Rechts noch Ausländerfeindlich, Ich möchte nur ein wenig zu unserer Kultur beitragen. Grüße aus dem kalten Hamburg MAX

Hallo Max, erstmal vielen Dank das dir mein Video und die Figur anscheinend grundsätzlich gefällt. Ich verstehe auch, dass die Englische Sprache für dich ein Problem ist. Aber auch wenn ich selber nicht mehr zu den 20jährigen zähle, ist in meiner Generation, auch durch Internet und KZbin, Englisch schon sehr viel verbreiteter. Und da ein Großteil der über 2 Milliarden Nutzer nun mal Englisch zumindest versteht, möchte ich davon natürlich die meisten ansprechen und erreichen. Von daher ist das der Weg den ich eingeschlagen habe und auch weitergehen werde. Umso besser, dass es talentierte Modellbauer wie dich gibt, die dann noch Videos auf Deutsch machen und diesen "Markt" bedienen. Von daher wünsche ich dir weiterhin viel Spaß und Glück mit dem schönsten Hobby der Welt.
