Have you tried using oils after your base coating ? transitions are easier with oils tho you have done a super job with acrylic's.
@biberhunter_scale_models10 күн бұрын
Thank you🙏 I use oil paints for busts, as they really are easier to blend and have a nicer finish. But on these small figures in this amount, I want to be faster and more efficient, so I am constantly trying to get to an oil like finish with acrylics 😁 maybe I succeed one day🤞

Heroic build dude, you tried and nailed lot of new things! That photo etch soldering looks cool, I havent tried that yet. But I ordered the Takom Panther D with full interior and extra photo etch parts, so Im gonna have some skilling up ahead too 😅 But I wanted to replicate the only Panther D tank left in the world that is in my hometown Breda. You can still see some of the zimmerit on there :p
@biberhunter_scale_models11 күн бұрын
Thank you for your kind words and appreciating my courage 🙏😅 That's very cool, I think almost everyone knows the Breda Panther at least from Pictures. Although I am not living that far away I did not manage to get there so far, that's still on my bucket list💪 Good luck for your build, I am avoiding interior tanks because that would probably take me years😅

Looks very good, but IMO that's still way too much rust for an active combat vehicle that saw action for a few months at most. This level of rust is only seen on abandoned vehicles after a few years.
@biberhunter_scale_models18 күн бұрын
@@BruteBassie thank you🙏 yes I understand what you are saying. Although this fresh orange rust can appear pretty fast, I can imagine it would not appear that fast on real combat vehicles. Great result mein freund👍 I'm interested to know how you painted the galvanised parts of the fuel drum?
@biberhunter_scale_models19 күн бұрын
Thank you, happy to hear mein Freund😁✌️ I base painted it in a very light grey, and with medium and darker greys applied by sponge created a chipping like pattern on top of that. To finish it, some very thin glazes in greys to unify it. The rings were painted in a dark rust tone, some light rust enamels on top, some dust, and that's basically it😁 hope that was helpful🤞

You mean the brown spots of the camouflage? I actually like this strong brown, and it's even lightened up paint from the set, so it would habe been even darker if I used it straight from the bottle. I guess in the end it's a matter of taste🤌😁

Etwas Angst macht mir Dein Video vom 05.01.2025. Der Bausatz ist so groß und sehr komplex, damit dauert die Fertigstellung ziemlich lange.
