I used to do figure skating as a kid, but around when I was 7-8 years old, it got too expensive (the training increased in price even though we paid for our own stuff) so I went full time into hockey. I loved figure skating, and really missed it, but didn’t own my own skates. I used to do all the tricks in my hockey skates all the time outside of training (this is inline hockey too, so it’s roller blades). I got to the point where I could do full axels and spins (1 wheel spins are sill a bit hard to consistently control though) Yeah, but what I’m saying is, the brain learns how to adapt its muscles memory with the new information it’s given, it can learn things using the wrong equipment if you try hard and long enough, and if you know how to do it on the correct equipment

Note: Both r dangerous I was trying to project that figure skating is more graceful and elegant whereas hockey is more street, bad boy.

@@aliaameen641I think you underestimate how smooth and graceful some freestylers can get with their tricks such as the grapevine and triangle. I’m assuming you meant freestyle by saying “hockey” style?
