Once you get fairly used to combat in Rimworld you might like combat extended which introduces some fun new mechanics and makes combat a little more interesting.

This probably the chilest video about rimworld while the game trying to ruin it XD Here some small tips to help your play a bit better, 1. Make a stone cutter table (architect > production) to make stone block to build building as they're won't spread fire and have a lot of HP. 2. You can make simple fire break around your wooden base by placing concrete floor (architect > floor) around the wall about 2 block thick to minimize the chance of flame tinder jumping from already burning surrounding plant to your building (you can ignore this if your base made from non-flammable material XD). And they can also serve as pathway around your base. 3. There is cancel button on architect > order menu to cancel any command/order you put on map. 4. Make a small cold storage/stockpile room with passive cooler (architect > temperature) to slow down the rot of your raw food. You can replace it with proper cooler later on to make freezer. 5. Don't forget to set crop room to 'remove roof area' in architect > zone to prevent your colonist to build a roof on top of the crop. Crop can't grow without proper sunlight. To make a proper indoor farm you need sun lamp which ate a lot of power (It need 3 wood burning generator to keep up with the demand) Oh yeah, one more thing I noticed about your main building. Maximum room size without needing pillar at middle is 13x13 (counting the wall, so the inside is 11x11). Production building suffer some penalty if placed outdoor (unroofed building counted as outdoor). Anyway hope the tips will be useful and enjoy your rimworld journey :D English isn't my 1st language (it's 3rd) so pardon my odd grammar or word usage.

You can recruit family from a different faction but you need too arrest them and that turns the situation hostile I would suggest a mod like "We Are United" or even "Hospitality" rimworld is alot more fun with mods : )

since fire is your mortal enemy, i would suggest investing in stone walls as stone walls cannot be set on fire. Same thing with stone flooring and other objects in general.

@@missfunerella you can make stone blocks at a stone cutter from stone chunks, where you can use stone blocks for anything made of stone.

I think you should put a pillar up inside your main building. The center can't support a roof because the building is too big which could deteriorate your hoard as if they were placed outside.

Ah that’s why! Are pillars just walls but unconnected? So one wall but then times four?

Be sure to clean rooms where you're doing medicine, it greatly reduces the risk of infection.

you can make the armor but I think you have to research it... and your bench was lost int he great fire 😭There is a chance your people will step in the traps but i think it's quite low..

Pregnant colonists are the worst if your not set up for it because a child is very hard to maintain if you do not have the relevant stuff for it.

@@missfunerella Yeah just make sure you dedicate a room or two to children and you should be fine. Or you could just stick them in a tube and forget the childhood but this is bad because you lose out on critical skills they can develop as a child to adulthood.

@@missfunerella Wait till you hear of the dark things you can do once the child grows up like keep them as a organ reserve in a room that there whole purpose is to be farmed for organs. Welcome to the fucked up world of rimworld.
