KZbin is good and WFH. Don't quit your job. We got catholic charity to help for my mom . She passed away 2 years ago. I feel your frustration. A neighbor helped sometimes. My mother had a stroke and my dad slowly got dementia. They lived to be 91.

Good Morning, Shannon! I'm happy to see that you are more encouraged than discouraged today. 😁 I know you said your mother makes too much money to get someone in to sit with her for a few hours a day, per the social worker. But what about through her insurance? If you haven't looked into that already, maybe there is a provision in her policy for something like that.

Thank you Cindee :) Yes, I feel much better today. The social worker said her insurance on't kick in (Medicare and Medicare Advantage) until she qualifies for a medical aid. She wasn't really clear where the threshold was on what determines medical care vs normal care. I'm just going to have to hunker down in the coming days and read through all of the links she sent me. Hopefully, there is a silver lining in there somewhere.

Wow, I am shocked at how much it costs to get any kind of help for your mom. My mother had Alzheimer’s and I helped take care of her with my stepdad. My mother didn’t get to the point of needing more help, than we could provide, before she died in a car wreck. Keep putting out videos and I pledge to watch and like every one of them to help you make as much money as possible. I hope this helps to ease some of the stress you are under my sweet friend.

Thank you so much for your kind words, sincerely. I'm not giving up hope yet. For some reason, I am optimistic that there is a solution and I just need to keep myself focused enough to figure it out.

Hi Shannon, I am happy to see you have a lighter heart. I hope you don't have to quit your job. Seems you need to work to have an income to afford things. I see what you mean by a start up company. Nice your boss is so chill. Would it be possible for you to ask the Sister for $'s to help "You" out with things you need...Care(for your Mom), so YOU can still work, the lighting situation, etc. Or ask your younger sister. That would ease your burden somewhat. It's not a comfortable thing to do but it may be worth trying. Good idea to talk with a social worker. There are respite places that come in to stay with loved ones. Maybe they wouldn't be as expensive.

Thank you for everything Patti, for real. You are a gem. The subject of money is touchy with her after everything she has done over the years. Honestly, it's going to take a lot for me to talk to her at this point. I'm not giving up on the care. I still feel optimistic that I can come up with solution as long as I set my mind to it. I did get a whole lot of links of info from the social worker so maybe I am missing something that she didn't think to mention to me.

You are so kind to say so. It is so difficult, the situation you are in. I just put the Sister idea out there, in case there may be a chance she would help. Remember to Take Care of you. You don't want to suffer burnout, like I did a long the way. Do nice things for yourself. Anyhow, thank you and hope some of those resources come through in a big way. Good Night

Hello dear Lady, don’t go to part time. Is there an adult child that you could hire to help with your mom? I had my one daughter do that for me while I was at work. You sure seem way better spirits good to see. 💕NonnaGrace 🐓

Unfortunately, I never had kids so there is only me. I suppose I could reach out to my nieces and see if they can help. They are all in their 20s and busy, busy but maybe I will get lucky. Thank you again Nona. You stopping by means a lot. I saw Bailey! Such a cutie :)
