@9:25 If you haven’t replaced the fuel relay, you should. My experienced with my Del Sol was very similar to this. Instead of getting a new fuel pump, I purchased a new relay and it Del Solved the issue

The old fuel pump was totally destroyed when I replaced the fuel pump with a new one, it's fine now.

My issue was the reley but my fuel pump under the seat makes that easy. No tank drop is nice.

Why you wanted to seal the tank at the end? Do you have problems with fuel spiders? Anyway the massage seat shenanigans are bonus, bit nerve-wracking sound. But I like the improved thumbnails!

Honda did not make many of those. And like many other things, it is now that people appreciate and look for these cars. You have a rough diamo'd' but a diamond none the less. Like with the Accord you have. Both 11:08 cars are worth your time to restore.

Josh keep up the good work! I am subscribed and enjoy watching the show! By the way my daughter had a Del sol (base model) years ago and she loved it and still mentions it every once in awhile. I just remember it having wicked body flex with the targa off, and the body panels were so thin and easy to dent. I guess all cars are that way now 😂 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yeah, most cars these days are a little thin skinned, but it makes them light and sporty, so that's the trade-off.

I have always like the Del Sol. I like how the clock is in the cluster so it is right in front of you (I like car clocks). However me being a fat @$$, could not really fit in these cars. I hope you get it back to looking good again. Oh and that plastic piece you found in the trunk that looked like it was one of the trunk latch covers. It is. You have to raise that black bar up before you can reattach it. That black bar is where you sit the roof when you have it off the car. This allows you to keep your trunk space. That bar can be raised so that the roof is out of the way in order to get at the items in the trunk without having to take the roof out of the trunk. The bar also provides bracing for car so it does not twist when driving with the roof off. So raise the bar, and reattach the cover and you should be good to go. One bit of caution, this bar is held up with the same type of piston as the trunk lid. Odds are they are dead.

I found that out when I was cleaning out the trunk. Surprisingly the struts still work, but who knows for how much longer.

You should not try to power the car on considering it was sitting for years, the oil is oxidated and theres no oil on the head, the fuel is trash and can kill the injectors, the engine water is bad too.

Did you check to see if the back glass can be wine down? You do know that the back glass on the del Sorrr can be wine down right 😅
