Fiiish Black Minnow & Westin Sandy Andy sand eel, the classic GAME CHANGERS

It has been a difficult spring in terms of fishing. Many storms, often too windy and few sea bass around... Nothing was working and I was going towards another unsuccessful session but the use of two classics radically change the situation. The Fiiish Black Minnow and the Westin Sandy Andy, truly game changers, truly classics.

Praise the Lord great fishing got them a few years ago back got Notting on them but got some sandy Andy to try as we go on holiday from tomorrow all this week up north of Ireland, thanks for the vids try Rooney's fishing tackle they would do good lure's here in Ireland 😊👍🙏

thanks! yes, it is a great option because I use to fish in areas of rocks and kelp so the texan system is key

You have learnt the minnow secret . Straight twitch retrieve will work . But fished with the tip up and making the lure lift and fall triggers the fish to hit on the fall .

Absolutely! I use the lift and fall for eel lures but for whatever the reason I wasn't for the Black Minnow, hence my lack of success with this lure xD. Thanks fro the comment!

@@theseabasshunter also a flick before the rise (so a double lift) . A tiny but violent flick makes the lure flash and seems to be a killer to initiate a response (like a stunned fish trying to recover consciousness). Try it under your rod tip to see what I'm trying to say . But like you say most people treat it as a almost a hard lure . I also use a crawl pace and flick when I feel bottom which produces well (although you're asking to lose lures 😭)

I was just about to say to you try a more slow up & down motion with the fiish black minnow then you hit a fish 😂. I had the same experience in the uk as you when they first came out and I just couldn't get a bass on them but now after lots of research I believe that lifting the rod then letting the lure sink definitely works better than the straight retrieve 👍

@@BigT73 thanks for your kind words! this year I have been working in a city far from the sea, hence the lack of videos. I guess right now has to be awesome for fishing bass with top surface lures. In September I am moving again near the sea and I have my Yamaga Blanks Early 105mh rod ready for that. Will be the perfect timing for the big sea bass! Also I have some material from my spring holidays but I need time to edit it and uploaded here! Good fishing Anthony

If you're catch and release fishing squash those barbs on the hooks believe it or not you will land just as many fish if not more without the barbs.
