Why do you like the aeon more than verum? I'm looking at getting a verum or sash tres, and the aeon keeps popping up

Aeon’s are closer to the frequency curve I like, so when testing non-computer products, it’s easier to listen more efficiently. Verum’s need a bit of bass boost. I go into more detail in my Verum review.

All things concerned I would appreciate if You would stumple upon the iFi Audio NEO iDSD 2, SMSL DO400, Aune S9c PRO and Topping DX9 devices and share Your observations with all of US (Push that dads wallet to the limit!!!) 🤗 While the modern DAC chips themselves are practically all transparent, the things that still matter are the electronics around them (power supply type, opp amps... and so on), which make te difference whether the whole device is more true to the original Diane Bish or does it emhasise the bass or high tones more that is necessary 🧐 We need that little detail added to You reviews in order to choose the right one for US, or a clear statement that FiiO K9 = Topping DX3 Pro+ = RME-ADI-2 = blender and We all shouldn't bother with thinking about the technicalities and get a cabbage in the nearest grocery store to have a ball with any music played through it 🥴

It needs to be set on low gain. Mid and high gain are just compression modes, louder but less dynamic.
